I thought ronaldo didn't need pace and power so it shouldn't really be noticeable? To his perform. .

He's scored a goal and has performed brilliantly without that explosive power so, you've proved my point for me.

If you recall I said he's a brilliant player, I didn't say more pace won't help, he's still truly brilliant when he's not bursting forwards. He was just involved in setting up a goal where his involvement had nothing to do with pace, neither did his goal, nor the header he could well have scored.

Ridiculous, commentators feeling the need to point out that Rakitic's "poor corner" led to the goal with his first touch. His corner got as far as the penalty area but a about what 3 yards further from goal, it was low but got into the box. Had Iniesta let the ball go out, no goal for no reason at all he both kept it in and put it behind the defender(didn't really see who that was) leaving Isco to run on to it freely.

Thoroughly deserved win for Real, could and should have been more than 3-1.

They look downright scary right now, that's without Bale playing. Isco is some talent.

Real altogether too comfortable, quick start by Barca but that was about it. Real dominated for 20 mins or so, some of it laughably outclassing Barca. They had a little come back maybe towards the end of the first half a few good half chances but never looked too threatening and always looked poor defensively.

Second half was all Real, Barca had more possession but it was mostly sitting around deciding what to do next, not much that was dangerous.

As you say Real could have scored a bunch more had they not messed up the counter attacks. Same thing happened midweek, Real had they made some better passes could have scored a at least a few more against liverpool.

Real are actually quite shoddy in the counter attack at the moment, not that clinical at all, they've scored a few beauties but compared to their best they just look wasteful at the moment.

A penalty?
