Reus has signed a new contract. Whether he's being loyal or just doing them a favour in getting more money for them in the summer who knows but its great to see. Let's hope they can put a run together now.

If, and it's a big if, they can go on a run, pick up form and finish the season strongly... they'll be able to attack next year with seemingly most of their injury troubles behind them, no european football, no euro/world cup in the summer. It would be a chance for them to put 100% into the league again which they haven't done for several years since the CL became more financially important to them.

I could see, depending on how the season finishes, them all going for a massive push for the league and as such I think a few players may stick around to be part of that.

ultimately Reus had a pretty bad injury, I can see a few clubs wanting to see a relatively full/uninjured year in him before they went for either big money or just a big wage offer for him.

Well Dortmund at home to Mainz who are fairly low down the table started really poorly with a pretty fluky goal from long range. Dortmund appeared to dominate most of the first half(wasn't paying a huge amount of attention). Second half Dortmund drew level then Reus went round the keeper to take the lead. Then as I'm typing and going to be all like "yay, Dortmund really do look like they're back"... they go and concede a second goal.

Mainz had 4 shots with 2 on target at this point, Dortmund 14 shots with 6 on target 62% possession. It's very much a one sided game, one goal against the run of play shouldn't screw things up too much, play like the previous 10 mins of the half and they could score another several goals.

EDIT:- 4-2 now, they really have been so completely on top, had it not been for the early slightly lucky weird goal and that making them more nervous in the first half they'd have spanked them silly.

Including this game they had 6 games before playing Munich in which all were bottom half teams except Schalke in the third game. It's a good run for a team that got most people back from injury a couple months into this season but then had CL, cup and not a great league run of games to find themselves some form and goals.

Djourou for Hamburg... thus they are getting spanked 6-0 by Bayern :p

The Bayer vs Wolfsburg game has been great Das Boot has a hat-trick 4-3 to Wolfsburg currently, was fairly Wolfsburg comfortable but two woeful pieces of keeping got them into the game.

Now 7-0 Bayern.

EDIT:- well, now 4-4 in the Wolfsburg game, both sides have a player with a hat-trick and one other scorer. Don't often see a hat-trick scored for both teams.

EDIT2:- amazing, 4-4, red card for Bayer, and a 5th for Wolfsburg, 4th for Das Boot effectively last kick of the game. Huge win and with bayer probably Wolfsburg closest competitor(presuming Bayern are out of reach) then a fantastic result to go away to them and win. Wolfsburg playing some really good football as well, could be really impressive in the CL next year.

Bayern game finished 8-0.

Cesena may be in the relegation zone but they are a full 5 points clear of Parma which before they both gained a point today was 50% more points, Parma with a dismal 10 points before Roma were held to a draw, and Roma were at home while Juve were away.

Considering how bad those teams are it's poor for both to drop points but hasn't changed much, Napoli getting spanked 3-1 away from home as well. Only Fiorentina gained on Juve and they are only 16 points behind them now :p

Odd for the top 3 to not get a win between them, especially when the top two play the bottom two. AC managed yet another draw and were completely outplayed by Empoli throughout, AC's goal being against the run of play and Empoli really deserving more out of it. Boo'd off, back down to 11th, Inzaghi and Mancini doing almost as badly as each other.

Has it become a thing for struggling teams players to talk to fans after they lose? Stuttgart just lost to Dortmund and it looked like there were a few players over by the fans. Weidenfeller and Hummels did it a couple of weeks ago too.

8-0 last week, and now 6-0 for Bayern. More goals in the last 2 games than Villa have scored all season in the league. Lol at the Bundesliga.

Robben's form in the last year has been absurd.

EDIT: LOL Augsburg's keeper just equalized in the last minute.

Dortmund are back, just made it 2-0 against Schalke, so in this 7 game spell with 6 easier games and then Schalke, this was their difficult game. Instead looks like it will be 4 in a row, moved way up the table, have another couple of somewhat easier games then could be going back to Bayern back in great form. They'll probably still lose but they've improved so much, confidence is back, players are back, form is coming back.

3-0... so nice to see them turn it around.

Bremen - Wolfsburg is pretty insane: 2-2 after 20 minutes, and Dost hasn't even scored yet.

EDIT: 3-4 now after 50 mins. Dost has got a couple. He's been on fire since the winter break.

Dost was apparently awesome but then got injured and has been out for ages iirc. Came back and as you say, has been mental since then. FInished 5-3, I think, was paying attention to other things. 3 goals in the first 10 mins or so of the second half then chances but no more goals.

Wolsburg have been scoring a lot lately, only scored 10 less than Bayern, conceded 17 more though. 8 points behind is a fantastic performance. With Dortmund looking somewhat back to their best and from recollection have two bottom half games before facing Bayern. If they could win those and take some serious form into that game, win it even, Wolfsburg have a slim chance of catching up and putting them under pressure.

Wolfsburg have been incredibly entertaining to watch this season. Bendtner is pretty screwed though, he actually did look decent for them and scored some goals but then picked up an injury, missed 2 months maybe and he got fit just as Dost came back and went crazy so he's getting very little game time at the moment.
