Real are so stupid, the defence isn't doing great but the movement in midfield isn't helping them. Modric worse than usual, Kroos useless defensively as usual.

Upfront though, they just don't look like a team any more, Ronaldo is playing injured. Benzema is a very hot and cold striker. Hernandez I'm surprised by, with so little cover and with how well he actually did play for them last year I thought they'd buy him. Okay they didn't but I don't know why they didn't buy another striker. Real just look poor, they've won plenty this year but haven't looked great in most of those games.

Haha, watch the replay though. Iniesta passes then runs, he's not that fast and what he was doing was clear as day. Kroos makes absolutely no effort to get into that gap or mark that run, he hasn't all game. He's useless defensively in most games. I've never seen him impose himself in such a game to dominate midfield.

Modric also could have marked that run though he had come in at another angle so it was much harder for him to change direction and get into that space. He has also made those covering/marking runs over and over though this game while Kroos hasn't.

Real have become laughably poor in central mid. Two weaker smaller players, neither with any pace. Getting ripped apart and they can't help nor impose themselves on the game here.

Real with an attacking move :o Ronaldo probably should have finished it but I love Bravo. Great save, great decision to rush out to him, had he stayed back ROnaldo would have slotted that in far post.

Tiago has broken his leg after kicking another player. It really didn't look that bad at all in the replays. I mean you could tell he was genuinely hurt but damn.

Valencia holding on pretty well so far , coming up for half time. hopefully the Villanovense game took a bit of energy out of Barca...

Bayern got thumped today 3-0 down, consolation for the returning Ribery finishing 3-1 to that team I hate to name.... because I can never spell it.

Very strange season for them, was it losing 5 on the trot or something after really a fantastic year last year. Manager leaves, bring in someone new, fantastic run since then. In the league win 8 and drawn 2 in 10 games, in the CL lost the first game under new manager away at City, drew both games to Juve and scored 4 against Sevilla, now beat Bayern.

Wolfsburg lost 2-1 in the last minute or so to a Kagawa goal. Wolfsburg not doing too bad, particularly with 3 wins in the CL. Considering KDB was such a phenomenal player for them last year they haven't dropped off as much as I thought they might do. Bit inconsistent and really haven't looked to have had that top level quality against the likes of Bayern, last year they made it a real game, this year they pretty much rolled over.

Griezmann had another really great finish to lock out the game as a 2-0 victory. God damned awesome form he's in. Hope he stays at Atletico for a bit but the biggest teams will come calling pretty damn soon.

They are 2nd in La Liga, they were 3rd last season and they were champions the season before. Since Diego Simeone's 1st full season, Atlético Madrid have out performed Real. They don't win big, they grind out results. Willing to spend big money. I think it's hard not to call Atlético Madrid one of the biggest clubs in Europe already, especially as they have a great chance of coming in above Real again this year.

Also, great play by Paco to set up Santi Mina and great finish too!!! 1-1 game on!!!
