I drove from Leeds to Anglesey, 180 miles each way. Stopped at Chester services for a bacon sandwich and drink for the family for 30 minutes (would always do this in my ICE car), popped the car on charge there. Got to Anglesey, drove round there for 4 days without charging (approx. 100 miles). Set off home, stopped at Menai Tesla station and walked the dogs with the family for 30 minutes whilst it charged (would have been a dog walk at holiday location before setting off with ICE car), then off home, stopped at Chester again but more for food/comfort break (as i would have done with my ICE car), popped it on charge there for 20-30 minutes even though i had enough charge to get me home with % to spare. Then home. There was absolutely no difference in time taken in my EV than time taken when i had an ICE car when we did the same holiday for the last 10+ years.like I did at the weekend a trip to see friend 60 miles/1hr, then a 100miles/2hr onwards to a 2nd destination with no destination charging possible,
then returning, both legs; overall a comfortable 5 hour drive, maybe a 1/3tank, but with an ev you'd have to stop.
... in the future if everyone has a home/destinastion charger you can purloin, such trips would be easier.
