I showed her, she like it, but not a Mini (she loves minis) and said pretty much that its a "lads" type car.

I do agree the Mini is much more appealing, unless you are trapped in the body/mind of a 20 year old bloke from the 1990's.
A whole lifecycle is an underestimate if you're talking about jpaul
The A290 does look the absolute nuts though.

I was reading an article recently that said we are now onto the 5th generation of EVs? Not sure how they counted that thoughA whole lifecycle is an underestimate if you're talking about jpaul

The compromise is to get black with the M60 grille, it more or less hides the problem. I know you don't want black but you're out of options now. I like the new lights too. Example: https://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/vehicle/202604241852370
Insurance on the iX 50 is er... interesting. I'm not surprised it's high, considering how it's built and the tech. A lot of insurance companies won't touch them - I imagine that if you get into a crash they quickly become uneconomical to repair.

I really liked the i4, but it was too small for us. My neighbour has a grey M50 i4, quite brisk
Yep mine was £850, which considering the car is £100k including options new and 520bhp, isn't mad.
I did get some quotes around £650 but there is no chance I'm having any app tracking or telemetry.

Yeah mine was same first 3 quotes wanted tracking or box’s fitted. Just went with Allianz in the end as they offered the best deal and could do the 25k miles I needed. Still cheaper to insure a Lamborghini Huracan than a Kia. lol

Hugely more expensive (literally double) and the 40 with the single motor is a much better drive
I can tolerate it because it’s a nice colour at least - Aventurin Red Metallic.

You can put the grille on any of them though, BMW sell it as a part. So that may help!

not quite, but close enough
I think it looks good, but I think the JCW Mini looks better, but personal preference, I wasn't a big fan of the R5 back in its original form (apart from the GT...)
