I showed her, she like it, but not a Mini (she loves minis) and said pretty much that its a "lads" type car.Did she look at the Alpine A290 or is that too boy racer looking for her?

I do agree the Mini is much more appealing, unless you are trapped in the body/mind of a 20 year old bloke from the 1990's.I showed her, she like it, but not a Mini (she loves minis) and said pretty much that its a "lads" type car.
A whole lifecycle is an underestimate if you're talking about jpaulYeah it’s gone through an entire lifecycle whilst some people are still deciding to get an EV

I don't like the look of the newer minis personally.I do agree the Mini is much more appealing, unless you are trapped in the body/mind of a 20 year old bloke from the 1990's.

I was reading an article recently that said we are now onto the 5th generation of EVs? Not sure how they counted that thoughA whole lifecycle is an underestimate if you're talking about jpaul![]()

That sounds like a story that needs sharingI don't like the look of the newer minis personally.

I’ve tried SO hard to have anything other than an i4.
I’ll just have to get used to forward bay parking everywhere and keep a top up of paper bags in the car.

Insurance on the iX 50 is er... interesting. I'm not surprised it's high, considering how it's built and the tech. A lot of insurance companies won't touch them - I imagine that if you get into a crash they quickly become uneconomical to repair.
EV charger install is booked in for 27th, gone with the Hypervolt Home 3 Pro.
Excited to pick up the car tomorrow, it's going to be a big change and a lot of learn.
My EV6 was £900 and I have 30 years no claims. Not paid more than £300 for years.
Yep mine was £850, which considering the car is £100k including options new and 520bhp, isn't mad.
I did get some quotes around £650 but there is no chance I'm having any app tracking or telemetry.
The compromise is to get black with the M60 grille, it more or less hides the problem. I know you don't want black but you're out of options now. I like the new lights too. Example: https://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/vehicle/202604241852370
That’s not bad. £1700 on the i4Yep mine was £850, which considering the car is £100k including options new and 520bhp, isn't mad.

Hugely more expensive and the 40 with the single motor is a much better drive
I can tolerate it because it’s a nice colour at least - Aventurin Red Metallic.

I think it looks good, but I think the JCW Mini looks better, but personal preference, I wasn't a big fan of the R5 back in its original form (apart from the GT...)The A290 does look the absolute nuts though.
