Bit like the A45 in hot hatch space though isnt it. Its arguably a bit to OTT to offer true hot hatch credentials.
Oh I know but then it's just been endless MG whatever the car is Kool-Aid which no one has asked for.In fairness, the original point was effectively 'Doesn't the MG4 Xpower already do this?' in response to a video questioning whether "the e-208 GTI is the electric hot hatch we've been waiting for" and it's probably not an entirely unreasonable perspective.
I'm not convinced there's anything particularly revolutionary about the e-208 GTI in reality, to warrant that sort of clickbait titling.

I actually test drove it as a car to buy because it was cheap, in fact twice, I've no issue with Chinese, my Volvo is Chinese, the MG just wasn't very good, it is OK to have a different opinion.Biased. Absolutely. I have an MG4 and actually know what it's like to drive Vs most people on here just not liking it because it's Chinese probably.
the package is flawed but I like the drive, as a cheap rental it made sense to me whilst I figure out what I really want.Lot of very insecure people here who seem to take it personally when people don't like the car that they own... seems mad to me to get so exercised about it. Whether it's an MG today or Tesla owners in the past etc.Unsurprising when the responses are just to call the MG **** to dismiss the idea rather than anything constructive about what the e-208 GTI is bringing to the table, which probably says a lot in itself.

I'm on my first and last foray with Stellantis products at the moment so I can understand that sentimentOn the actual topic, I've owned an e-208 before and will not be owning another in future whether it has 300+ bhp or not![]()

Are you with octopus already?Does anyone know how long it takes to switch to OIG? (intelligent Go)
It's funny, I wouldn't buy my Abarth after test driving it as it was strong money for what it offered and only ended up in one as I was car less and 5k for 2 years on the 600e Comp was easy to swallow, been in it 3 months one stint on track and yeah I am looking at them second handI'm on my first and last foray with Stellantis products at the moment so I can understand that sentiment![]()

Just from the underneath of my mates 18month old MG5, he's an MX5 owner and has never seen anythng so bad and MX5s are rust buckets![]()
he's is not impressed especially as he bought it and owns it, not a lease to hand back. There is enough evidence on the MG forums to back this up, he is not alone.
Only goes up and down the M5 Bristol to Gloucester, not exactly by the sea or anything.

Are you lot actually comparing a very practical family carrying electric heavy car with a dedicated track focussed two seater petrol car?
What the what?
Look we all know that Leafs are the peak of EV traffic light GP performance, they're a performance vehicle don't you know.
It's funny when the practical family car is faster than the track focused sports cars!
