You do as I had one in my Evoque and discovery sport. There’s no need to use it as a tool to triangulate speed… it’s just a much wider better view of what’s behind. Will be even better on lower cars.

Why would Tesla vision need triangulation? Does it need to declare the distance in cm to other road users on the one screen it has? Nope. You use your eye. Put the glue down.

I hadn't realised it was an SUV coupe so no rear window isn't a massive shock. Looks decent.
 
I like that too, I was in the Polestar shop the other day just having a poke around a P2 again and I still like that car, just thought the rear looked a bit dated and in need of a refresh, this does the job well.

If it ends up cheaper than an optioned up 2 as suggested I might pick one up.

That's a good looking car to be fair. Are Geely developing their own 800V platform? Would be nice if these £50k+ cars could take proper advantage of ultra rapids.

yes - seems it's a behemoth
length is 4,839 mm, width is 2,139 mm and height is 1,544 mm
The Polestar 2 measures 4,600mm in length, is 1,950mm wide and stands 1,480mm tall
but then, id7 is too big too. 4,970mm long, 1859mm wide and 1,529mm tall

just give me something width of a 3 series estate which will work nimbly on local country roads, with space to steer around potholes.
BMW 3 Series Touring 4,709mm 1,827mm 1,440mm
Stellantis/astra/308 ev estate size appeals most.
 
Suspect some classic 'use the with door mirrors vs the without door mirrors comparison' to make the point you would like to make there

edit: 3 series with door mirrors - 2,068mm

That P4 width includes the wing mirrors
 
OK - thanks I stand corrected P4 is a bit 4" wider, but others are much the same -
I frequently use & parallel park in some cambridge double parked streets where although it's a 2-way road the gap you drive down only has space for one car with maybe a foot on both sides,
so you have to wait at passing places to let other cars through, turning circle is important too.

I ordered an iX about 4 weeks ago on a similar cheap deal. Looking again now it’s dropped by another £40pm, making it cheaper than most mid-range EV’s : Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq5, Polestar 2, Tesla Y & 3, Nissan Aria, VW ID5 …
