edit someone at work is claiming that most airport carparks are at your own risk
and insurance is void if anything happens.... surely that cant be the case?
Looks like Chinese EVs are really putting pressure on VW group.Nice Enyaq refresh.
Skoda Enyaq gains major 2024 update: range boost and a fancy L&K version | Auto Express
A significant refresh of Skoda’s Enyaq family-friendly EV has arrivedwww.autoexpress.co.uk
And that's a good thing IMO.Looks like Chinese EVs are really putting pressure on VW group.
indeed. it was pre coffee and i was not awake enough to question them on that!.... besides it was bad enough being trolled from a bunch of them insisting it was yet another example of EVs being dangerous and causing fires. (no it wasnt and neither was their last example!)Correct. As are almost all other car parks, along with simply driving on the road...
However:
The fact it is "at your own risk" is exactly WHY you have insurance - to protect yourself from that risk, so no, it wouldn't be void (unless you somehow managed to find a policy which explicitly excluded parking in airport car parks).
So 40 grand only gets you the 58kWh EnyaqLooks like Chinese EVs are really putting pressure on VW group.
the new volvo EX30 looks alright at 33k .So 40 grand only gets you the 58kWh Enyaq
More pressure needed lol

No nnn on standard version!
I'd happily get that N though, they are massive cars having seen the non N daily at work, but they look so futuristic, and this N looks really cool and fun. The noises are gimmicks but they add fun and engagement, that's all I care about as well that that faux paddle box.
The future looks alright for sure.
yes the synthetic gear change is interesting - doesn't seem to say if it also limits/plateaus the torque within the gears, more ICE like,Seems decent the i5N

It's called engagement, something missing in EVs otherwise. And is completely optional so those that don't want it, just turn it off?to each their own and if it gets people into an EV and with a smile then its great i guess................... but i genuinely do not get the "fake" engine noise to make it sound like an ICE nor the engine cutting power and forcing you to pretend to change gears..... it almost reminds me of when i put playing cards on my bike spokes to make it sound like a motorbike.................. but in my defence i was in primary school when i did that.
i wonder back in the day when the synchromesh gear box 1st came out people wanted to buy a version which forced you to double clutch............... or even earlier maybe a petrol car which came with a reign next to the steering wheel which you had to whip the dashboard with to make the car go faster
again to each their own but i love the spaceship sound my car makes, even that is fake of course but it gives you an idea of speed and i instantly know which mode my car is in so it does have a purpose.
Out of the range, the Extended Range seemed the more sensible option to me.
Surprised they haven't put that battery in to the xpower. Perhaps that'll be released next.
