Good news on the Hyundai.
As a recap:
- Put down deposit on an Ioniq 6.
- Went through finance a month after (as agreed)
- Passed finance
- Was subsequently advised they had sold the car and there were none available.
I went absolutely ballistic as I had scheduled to give the ID 7 back, was moving house the same weekend I was due to pick up the new car and because I was stopping payments to Alphabet, I was rushed to find an alternative option.
Sent off an email to the general sales manager at the dealership, as well as Hyundai MD.
Today, I’ve had it confirmed that a replacement car has been assigned to me.
I have mixed feelings about this.
I am REALLY nervous that if I have any issues, I’m going to have another nightmare on my hands.
Equally, I’m really glad I don’t have to go and find another option which will cost me more money for a lesser product.
Hyundai exec team, thankfully, have been EXCELLENT in how they have handled this. Like, shockingly good. Hopefully this represents the future experience with them.
Different colour this time, and it’s really nice:
