EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW3/SC2 iCX Preorder 3.28.2017

Stock market has proven you'll lose your value in that as well. Silly game to play to think get into high end cards for investment value.

I didnt mean that, just meant for 2 or 3 months maybe worth not dropping £800 and waiting to see if uyou might get the same performance for less than £500.

Slightly louder/cooler than other custom cards out the box, but basically the same performance. Face plate is purely cosmetic.
Overall looks pretty decent, just a shame EVGA arsed about with the pre-orders.

Or the rep has just returned from a family holiday in Cyprus and is just back in the UK.

Hi Ben,

Well I hope you had a lovely holiday and feel rested and ready! I just got back from Mexico - it was lovely but now im excited about receiving my new card ! :)

So, can you give anymore information regards the FTW3 orders? Are they likely to be delivered / dispatched on 1st May or are we looking at a leter delivery date?

Thanks

Hi guys

Sorry for the delay, as above post suggests I have just returned from holiday so here is an update on EVGA custom ICX cards. In my absence please follow the EVGA forums which keep consumers up to date with frequent news. We are shipping stock at the same time to EU and the US so + a couple of days due to shipping in and out of NL all ETAs are the same as the USA.

- EVGA GTX 1080Ti SC Black and EVGA GTX 1080Ti SC 2 cards have started to ship to stores and to those who pre-ordered on the EVGA website.
- EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW 3 will now be 2nd week of May as advised by EVGA we have a 1 week delay to the previous advise we gave.

Thanks
Ben

Yes coming very soon, just waiting for that final flight schedules out of Asia and will give accurate dates but the 2nd week of May looks good still.

Thanks for the holiday wishes. Nice for a week out of a busy schedule.

@Ben this is tough news to take man, especially a few days before the long weekend. I know you've got a tough gig but really need to understand what the delay is when your competitors are shipping so many cards...

On a positive note, glad you enjoyed your holiday and welcome back. Appreciate you being on this forum to give updates, even when they aren't the news we were waiting for

Good information on that channel, but that blokes voice often has me turning off before I finish the video.

I hope this above^ is not true for EVGA Website preorders? My son was not happy when you said this :(

EDIT: I just upgraded his EVGA FTW3 to Elite FTW3 in black. Another month wait. My son said we waited this long.

This made me chuckle, why do you NEED to know NOW!

Glad I could provide you with a chuckle, always a good way to start the day.

I certainly don't need to know NOW as the liklihood of getting my GPU anytime soon is pretty low but I am curious to know more about the EVGA delay...it's no exaggeration that I've spend 1000's with EVGA over the years, and I certainly appreciate their CS and people like Ben, but having to wait for a GPU that much longer vs. other brands will make me reconsider what brand I go with the next time a card launches. If Ben/EVGA can provide some context that might help me understand that would go some way towards retaining me as not only a customer but an advocate of their brand for friends and family.

The hard thing this time around was also that EVGA wasn't able to deal with OCUK very well, my other favourite brand and retailer, and being on this forum for a few years, I've always appreciated the CS and community from OCUK so again next time more likely to choose a brand that supports OCUK.

Hope that answers your why as well as your chuckle...the curse of being an enthusiast means too much enthusiasm at times...;) How about you, what card and brand do you use?

Surely you understand the frustration Craig? I have my 1080Ti (MSI Gaming X) and over the moon with the performance but seeing others getting told there will be delays on an already 'late to the party' card would really disappoint me, so I can imagine they are also rather disappointed. Mocking them isn't going to help either.

I am waiting for my pre ordered FTW3 also so in a similar boat. How does moaning change that. Does knowing any other info change the fact? They have always said May would be the date. If they wanted something sooner should have ordered something else.

I am surprised the user above isn't banned for the OCUK/Gibbo bashing he did towards the start of this thread.

People like to vent their frustrations and delays don't help.

Who was bashing OcUK/Gibbo?
