When you register the card within 14 days to your account you will have the step up feature for free, if not you will need to purchase an extended warranty to get the feature, when you then use the step up the warranty will also transfer to the new product. The Step Up is good for 90 day, if a new series launch within those days you can request the Step Up in your account. After approval you then get an email to submit the collateral and send us the card. When we have both we send you the card you want to get back..

Hi,


I purchased a Evga 980Ti Classified from OCUK on the 27/11/15, but just noticed watching a couple of unboxing videos that the package I got is missing stuff in the box.


I am missing :-

1. A drivers disk with other software on it.

2. The user manual.

3. The case badge.

4. Some sort of heat strip and document to go with that.

5. Some document that says important information on it.



These are the things I got in the box :-


1. a poster and some big stickers.

2. 2 x power cable adapters.

3. DVI to VGA adapter.

4. Of course the graphics card.

Is there anyway of getting the missing items ? Because in the future when I sell on the card the next buyer will ask where these items are.


By the way the graphics card box came totally sealed with the clear plastic, it was clearly never opened, also all other items in the box clearly were new even the card had all the plastic on all the parts. So it must be an issue at EVGA when packaging the cards.

Do you know if a hybrid cooler is available for the standard 980GTX SC 2.0ax ? ( not the ti )

hahaha thats true for sure, I've had plenty of EVGA's in the past and would done so again but i got sick of waiting for the tickle of 980ti hybrids that where coming in. Ended up canceling my orders and got a then stonking deal on the Zotac's. I then did slap two of the EVGA hybrid coolers on them :)

Back on topic this move has defo put EVGA the first port of call next time round.

Hi,

jap, there is a seperated SKU for this but you can also just install the Ti or Titan X one. They are all similar beside of the model printed on top of the cover. http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=400-HY-H980-B1 but do you have the ACX or Titan style cooler? On the ACX cooler the power management and the RAMs are not active cooled like with a titan style cooler. If you want to use the Hybride with a ACX cooler I would suggest to put some passive ram blocks on the frontplate where the RAM and power management is located. If then a bit of airflow go across it cooling is enough.

Thanks for the info, guessing it will be a little to far away to use Step up for Pascal then as some think it may not arrive until Q2 next year.

This will be handy for me going forward though, as I change my GPU's fairly often :D

jpa, I think at this point it is not worth gambling with the 90 days in hope for a next Gen upgrade...

Hi, I submitted an RMA today and was given 2 addresses, 1 is a label and one says if I don't use the label to send it to Germany, but the label has UK (Preston) am I good to send it to Preston? Also, for advanced RMAs where does the replacement come from? Will that come from the UK, or Germany?

Hi, feel free to send it to the UK adress, if you have not received the full address so far just contact CS and they will update you. No matter which RMA you go for the replacement will always get shipped from Munich Germany, the UK address is just to receive.
