I'm going to enjoy recommending Passmark people who ask what the best game is right now. :p

He's given up on understanding how the hardware actually works now, it's probably best.

You've already posted them uscool. He ignored them the first time and made up some make believe about single core being more important in 2k/4k. Then ignored the benches showing it doesn't win in those either.

Hmm and I thought they took out 2 cores to boost the frequency to get the gaming crown back

Nope, the engineers confirmed why did they did, they had no choice. It's a 10nm designed core, when it's back ported to 14nm it ends up significantly bigger than comet lake cores - the result is that they could only fit 8 cores on the die space available

this is why back porting sucks

The engineers were also asked why they did not try to fix the high latency of Rocket lake by adding a big L3 cache or even L4 cache as Zen 3 has, to which they have the same answer that there is no space on the die. Again, this is why back porting sucks

So being at the top for long they started to slack off and ended up here,

With that pricing you would think they are still at the top lol

You know why, it does not scale well with cores. Guess what happens when you run Timespy Extreme that does scale?

min my own testing I found regular timespy only scales up to 8 or 10 cores, anything over that makes no difference. Timespy extreme on the other scales much much better with high cores

The 11900K wins that one (but other reviews have the 5950X well ahead) but why does that matter when you can just look at game performance and see the 11900K isn't great?

This review shows a totally different picture:

Biggest intel shill site going, read his conclusion.

.
Intel have always been excellent in gaming benchmarks and the Core i5-11600K smokes even the Ryzen 9 5950X. It's a gaming beast
