I realise you have watched a lot of football, that was my point. To suggest that was the worst ever Arsenal side is just plain wrong. The sides with Hiller, Groves, Morrow etc were worse. We played a 21 year old up front, a 21, 19 and 22 year old in midfield and a 20 and 2 18 year olds at the back. We pushed the 6th best side in the premiership, with almost a full strength side, and imo deserved a draw.

That was the strongest side Arsenal could put out bar Pires and Bergkamp.

didn't realise there were so many injuries, was surprised at the line up

I went on to watch Preston today against Palace, they (Palace) definatly came out of the blocks a lot better than us, and scored due to a mistake by Mawene and then some bad luck, got stuck between Davis's giant legs and was an easy finish for Johnson. This then kickstarted Preston and they definatly upped the tempo and got their act together. Tempers were flaring a bit and lots of hard challenges going in, but we pressed well for the rest of the half and scored an average goal at about 30 mins i think.
Second half we started well and put a load of pressure on for 20 mins or so, a fantastic save by Kiraly kept them in the game and a poor header later on cost us what should have been a win.
Some fantastic defending at the back from Preston apart from the mistake costing us a goal, Davis did a good job at marking Johnson and stopping him running.
I think we should beat them on Tuesday in the league (which is much more important, with the best will in the world we wont win the FA cup, and need to push to finish 3rd or 4th in the league)with a full strength side, 2-0 is my prediction!

Oi you leave Perry out of it, pure class he was. Cracking long throw in! He had Andy Cole as a boot boy:D. Saw him a couple weekends ago actually at my Nans funeral.

On a more serious note considering the team we had out we didnt do too bad. It is a bit alarming that that was nearly the best 11 we could put out though.

I think RvP's air kick deserves a mention too :D.

Why were the likes of Henry & Lehmann (only slightly better than the other rubbish one) not playing? If they were rested then Arsenal deserve to go out for Wenger's sheer arrogance. Bolton (and Wigan for that matter) are no worse sides than Arsenal have been this season, maybe Wenger didn't see the league table.

With all fairness to Wenger, Henry isnt fit, he has a groin injury.

I thought RvP's freekick at the end was totally selfish, and he should have kicked that one into the mix and hopefully some one could have got on the end of it, what a waste and that could have got them an unlikely draw :(

Would you have said it was selfish if it had rattled the net like against Wigan?

Alu has played in all the cups this season, and to be fair has done a sound job.

Henry wasn't rested, he went off injured against Wigan. He could have played but would have risked further injury when there are far more important games coming up. He could play against West Ham on Wednesday, but Adebayor could play as Togo are out of the ACN.

Only 2 players were rested.

Totally different game, in the Wigan game some of them had their shooting boots on, last night no one could hit the target with any precision, and it showed ;)
