huge congrats to stan on pulling out a 500 point lead - very nice move!
everyone else seems very close, still a lot of chances left

Thanks :o

I dumped another 172 pointer not long after the 8pm stats and am due to dump another 275 points before morning (219 + 56) :D

Looking quite promising - although it depends if Amp34 has any more big dumps up his sleeve before Thursday (or Dunc for that matter).

and mister Cannot_Configure of course, since he's getting double points and seems to be getting through some very nice work
of course the fact that large WUs have become available halfway through does make it a bit unfair :o

ahh well we shall see what the next few days brings :)

I've had no big WUs on my competition rig at all (I've only had one on my main account boxen - 10 cores/1 big WU - how unlucky is that? :( ).

so are we allowed to see the vital statistics of this beast? :D
450MHz P3, hence the name. BlueGeneL has a lot to answer for. Just imagine it, one of the fastest supercomputers in the world thrashed by a measly old P3 running deadlineless work. :D

Your unlikely to have any trouble with me, i reckon only 2 of the 4 WU's running at the moment are going to be finished in time. :( Theyre both small pointers as well. I have a 404 pointer that has taken about 3 days to get to 42% and it says it has another 4 days to go.

I may cancel one of folding services once its WU has finished and try and speed up one of the bigger WU's to get it to finish before the cut off point, if thats allowed?

My x2 has spent the last day running only one core too as one of the clients that uploaded yesterday hasnt managed to download another one, although the other client has uploaded and downloaded 2 cores in that time.

sorry

Berserker - appoligies about starting a non-folding thread *hangs head in shame* :(

But I did break the 10,000 points mark this morning (not bad for day 13) and couldn't help myself from performing an act of random kindness ;)

Hmm you're right. So i rang up IBM today and asked them what the deal was and why i wasn't getting good value for my $1millon an hour supercomputer rental. Unfortunately i was told by an automated message that i would have to call back later due to technical difficulties in the call centre.

This was after pressing #2 for customer support, #5 for supercomputer queries and #3 for "yes i would like to get out of this menu system right away".

I'm away to gawk at the shuttle launch. Stats mileage may vary. :D

Edit - looks like there was no-one around to collect them. Sorry. :(

Will pick up tomorrow. It just adds a little suspense to the end. :p

Was on a 600-pointer which I was frantically trying to get done before the cut. With it predicted to finish about 18:00 tomorrow, I realised it probably wasn't gonna make the final stats update. So I moved it to another machine on my main account and began a different WU on CSO2, which should finish in time.

Ah well :)

I have them - sorry I was off and on last night and then when I got a chance to sort them out it was far too late for me

I'll get them sorted and post shortly before today's update, you alright to sort out today's stats still?

Yup, providing the weather doesn't 'get' me (shouldn't unless the UPS decides not to like me again).

I'm a bit torn here, one of my crunchers is starting to sound like a klaxon it's fans are working so hard. Either I open the window to cool things down and let rain in, or I close the window and live with the klaxon, or I turn off said klaxon.

Heaven only knows what would have happened had I been running it with the full 4x HT clients.

I can't decide if the new cooler wet humid weather is any better than the previous hot dry weather... its still 28 in here with the fan on and window open and i'm still too hot.

I moved the pc under my desk the other day to see if it made it any quieter and sadly it didn't.

I have done exactly that, its been on all day every day for the past two weeks with the window behind it wide open and for most of that time there has been a 10 degree temperature difference between inside and outside.

Congrats to the cereal guy on taking the top-spot for the day, can you hold onto it again today?
Also a big congrats to Tolien - making like a scalded cat! :p

Looks like it could be close between the top 3 - unless dunc can pull something magic out of the bag of course ;)
