F1 2010 Trailer

Our next dev video is going to be focussed on handling and physics, so hopefully that will help allay some of your fears that we are going down a more arcade route like GRID.

Game looks like it could be pretty good.

I quite like the idea of a proper F1 racing sim.

The additional content sounds interesting as well (in season R&D + testing etc) although I am not so sure about the press conferences. Hopefully it will be real time (free roam) as well unlike the pit areas in Dirt 2

Only matters if you care about MP. I dont ;)

That maybe true, but I fear the same "we will slap this on, it will be OK" attitude will creap into other areas of the game.

The same person who signed off the GFWL support will likely have signed off other silly things too, which will in no way help the PC Sku.

I personally believe that rFactor 2 will be provide a better F1 experience.

For people looking for a hardcore F1 racing sim? Probably, in fact, almost certainly.

For people who enjoy F1 and want a fun game that can be played at a variety of skill levels? Unlikely.

I think F1 2010 will provide the overall better experience for more people, as ultimately, there is a reason games like rFactor don't sell in huge numbers - not that many people really want their leisure activities to be so serious.

It'll be nice if it's a bit more serious than GRID as really after a while open wheel cars that feel like they have infinite grip tyres gets boring but at the same time, I don't want a game that requires me spending £50 on a steering wheel just to be able to play it half way properly.

For the person who was concerned about 3 lap races, the game will let you race full length races with all the practice sessions, qualifying sessions etc if that is what you want.

Exactly what I wanted to hear!
Graphics are looking pretty sweet allready (esp in rain). The quote shows i will get to do qualifiers and full races which i love. I have really high hopes for this. Hopefully you guys can really hit the mark offering arcadey game modes (accessability = more sales = future titles) and offering higher simulation modes for those who are into it. Going to keep an eyeout to see how the handling and physics are dealt with. Good luck with getting it right, hope you deliver.

I dont need this to be totally hardcore.

The happy medium is a game like Forza its as hard as you want the game to be.

If its on the same level as Forza im happy
