Atleast you have games, I have the console but only money for one game (vouchers + quidco coming), F1 2011 should last me a while though!
 
Wooo! Just got an email that the PS3 version has just been despatched. Just waiting on the PC version to unlock on Friday. :D
 
I ordered with Simply Games, had problems ordering from shopto and I'm glad I did because I don't think it would be here had I done so...

ordered yesterday morning and it came this morning.

Right then, first impressions...

The frame rate :o

I just can't see myself doing races with this game... pretty much the exact same thing as last year. But I enjoy time trialling - a lot. So in that respect it's worth it for me.

The frame rate is poor - I think even worse than last year. I'm a sucker for keeping one eye on the background scenery, so to speak, and driving around Singapore at least, my oh my does the screen tear and the frame rate drop abysmally low at times.

I honestly don't see that much of a difference in the graphics. The new features are awesome though...

DRS/ KERS are great fun, driving up behind someone and deploying both feels great, the amount you gain on them looks / feels incredible.

I have a pretty beastly PC, bar the graphics card, so I don't know what to do - maybe I'll get a new graphics card for it and see how the game handles on it because I'll no doubt want to do 64 player Battlefield 3 when that comes out and I'll need a decent card for that anyway.

Anyone know if the PC version is locked at 30FPS? :D

I've not seen the safety car yet, so I'm looking forward to that, also not seen much of the dynamic weather system - just some light rain. So that should be good to. But the I am a bit disappointed with teh frame rate if I'm being honest. Something which a decent PC rig should be able to sort out...
 
Posted today apparently. Will hope for tomorrow delivery :D

Haters gonna hate...2010 had flaws for sure but there was nothing else for me which provided as good real exciting racing (online mainly). So hope 2011 is as good or better in that regard.

What are your specs, are you using crossfire?

The clubsports are worth every penny mate I'd invest in some asap. If you've got the cockpit you might as well have the best pedals aswell :).
 
Iv'e got the GT2 and Clubsports and the clubsports are fantastic. I've had then since I got the Turbo S wheel when I had a discount code for pre-ordering. The new CSR pedals are cheaper might be worth looking at them?

I've got both the PS3 and PC version coming hopefully today so will have a bash and see which I prefer.
 
Quite interested to see the Fanatec wheel they showed off at the end of one of their interview videos. I'd love to buy a Fanatec setup but the price is eye watering.

Hoping I can fix my XBox tonight. I stripped it down so it just needs cleaning, new com-pound, heating up and testing. I've fixed it once before with bolts and metal washers, I doubt it will work again. :(

I played Forza 3 last night using the setup, in a word - Awesome. Managed to get a very comfy driving position in a similar style to single seater driving. I am finding my times are improved over using a controller,just got to learn to be a bit more aggresive with braking. The wheel is absolutely amazing, well worth the price, the gameracer just helps with comfort and immersion.

It is something i am keeping an eye on. After spending about £600 my wallet is completely empty. I do like the clubsport pedals and will definatley consider them in the near future.

I'll post up some pictures and thoughts in here (if people dont mind).

F1 2011 should be waiting at home for me, Im so desperate to play it. Problem is, my mate who bought a seat & wheel wont get his game until tomorrow. Cant wait to do the coop championship.
 
Well after my first race I must say it's a good game, with good and bad parts.

I love how you can be so much more defensive when someone is trying to overtake you and not get penalised for it. The penalty system is much more realistic in this game than 2010. Also the steering is awesome. The car really 'rolls' and it's much more realistic, also the first few laps the tyres aren't warm and you can really tell the difference after a few laps.

Things I don't like. How stupid the first and second corners are. You can literally just go straight down the side as they all pile up into the first corner. I qualified 19th in my Lotus, at the end of the first lap I was in 4th. Just from the first two corners. However, the higher teams really do have faster cars, as I did end up finishing in 18th (with a couple of spins mind) which seems fair, although if I didn't spin out I probably would have finished in the points.

So far an improvement, but there are still things that need addressing.

Mine arrived this morning. I like it. It's much better. And the pit stop's is finally perfect!

No formation lap though, which sucks :(

I chose Force India.
 
Can't wait, don't think mine will be here on Friday though.

Oh and I'll most likely be going Virgin Marussia
 
It's nice to see some positive comments, I enjoyed last years game but the single player was way too easy. It kills the realism when you can easily beat the front runners in a Virgin-Cosworth.
 
Mine arrived yesterday and I've not actually even opened it yet. I'd forgotten it was actually out this week as I'd got it on pre-order. I'm busy with Gears at the moment and still have Dead Island too.

Perhaps I'm in no great rush though as having had the previous game since launch, I've only recently put in the time to actually finish my first season. Now I've got to start from the bottom with a rubbish team again!
