F1 2012 Car launch dates

Sparky, you may or may not be allowed to tell us, but is there any truth in the rumour that Webbers front wing from Monza never made it back into the hands of RBR after his crash?

so when is RBR car launch?

they are the only ones that matter now to see which way they have gone with the nose.

i wonder which camps are thinking "oh crap have we messed up here?", ferrari or mclaren?

Monday along with sauber and toro rosso

I'm thinking stepped, they where all about high nose.

Neither as said mclaren has typically had low nose, so rule change hasn't affected them, Ferrari and rbr have high nose, so rule change has meant a redesign. Nothing stopping them redoing the tub, but it means extensive changes. Rather than the evolution in the cars we've seen so far.

However they are now stuck as you can't alter tub once season starts and as they have to be crash tested, whatever tub they have now they are stuck with.

Here's a thought I've had after looking at a lot of hires images of the new cars. Well, 2 thoughts actually.

1st - Good god they are ugly!

2nd - It's to do with conservative designs. People are saying that Mclaren have gone save and conservative. But, as 3 of the 4 unveils have pretty much the same nose design, surely that makes it the safe and conservative design choice and McLarens the innovative one?

Just got back from a big interview and have seen the new mclaren. Wow, just wow. I hope it is as fast as it looks. They certainly do design some unique looking cars.

Good to see Ferrari trying something a little different too.

i hope they do as i would love to see schui on the top step one last time.

Surely, if anyone is going to be on the top step for Merc, it will be Rosberg, given that he has been their top scoring driver for the last 2 seasons? Unless of course, they order Rosberg to drive slow, so that MSc can get a win.

Hehehe.
I'm sure Arknor will be in full agreement with me. ;)
for last season schumachers highest 5 finishing positions were
4th , 5th , 5th, 5th , 6th
while rosbergs were
5th , 5th , 6th , 6th , 6th

maths suggest schumacher surely, but im sure logic wont stop you from arguiing im wrong so i will not reply to any posts on this topic

I tend to look at overall points standings. Over the course of the entire season, when it comes to on track exploits, Rosberg is the daddy of that team. Of course, I think we all know, off track, MSc is the big man of that team.

If Merc did produce the best car, MSc may need to arrange for Rosberg to drive slow or pull over, to get the wins (something which he may do). Don't get me wrong, MSc will finish ahead of Rosberg on some occasions, but Rosberg is likely to outscore MSc, over the course of the entire season (based on the last 2 seasons).
