FI seem to be that cash strapped I think they'd consider letting my grandma drive for them if I gave them a £50 and a packet of monster munch. And she's been dead for 10 years.

I wonder what kind of implications that would have around the paddock and on tv . With every single person knowing he's a useless pay driver and has nicked someone else's somewhat decent seat.

Just reading that FI are chasing a deal to run TATA 1.6 V6 engines in 2014, hence a rumoured drive this year for Karthikeyan.

I'm not sure what worries me more, Karthikeyan at FI or a Tata engine in an F1 car.... For some reason I feel it would fail a lot (that's said there's a general lack of fact or evidence behind that thought, it's just a gut instinct)

Surely it far too late now? The 2014 engines have been in development for well over a year by the current manufacturers. There's no way they could make a competitive engine if they start now.

They own Jaguar, Land Rover, and Daewoo so it can't all be bad on the engine side of things no? Well I guess scrap Daewoo but Jaguar and Land Rover! They help make Ford, Toyota, and Honda engines too plus do software programming for the ECUs for those companies. Hmm it couldn't be that bad if you think about it - just no experience at the top end that's all.

A Tata engine might be fine, but one for 2014 is far too soon for them to make anything competitive, surely?

In terms of getting it into the 2014 development car they have what, 6 months?

Thought this was pretty cool, shows the Team/Helmet combinations (so far)...
