anyone who is into the series got this yet. I went to click buy yesterday and read a review of a lot being stripped and have held off

Yep, I'm an F1 Nut so find it difficult not to pickup an F1 game. I've also gone into it knowing that many features are missing, but as long as the core driving is good I'm ok with it. I've not had a great deal of time with it yet, but so far I've completed 3 quick races and done a number of time trials and initial impressions are:

Graphics are really good imho, however I'm not keen on any of the AA solutions ingame, they seem to make everything go really blurry, I'm finding I'm sticking with SMAA as this seems to be least affected. Performance is great but then I am running an i7 4770 @ 4.4Ghz, 16gb and a Titan X.

Handling - Best thing so far for me, much improved over previous versions. So far I've only played with an XboxOne pad, but you can really slide the back end round and you have to be careful as it's easy to spin out coming out of slow/medium corners (With traction control off or medium). You can also easily lock the tyres up if you have ABS off. Gonna dig out my G25 later to have a go with that and see how a wheel is with it.

AI - Again, seems better than previous games from what I've seen so far, they are a bit more agressive and also prone to their own mistakes. I Also find that the AI works better in the wet than previous game, they don't seem to ignore the fact it's wet and put in dry times anymore.

The lack of features is a real shame, but if you like F1 and just want to blast round the 2015 circuits as your favourite driver then I personally think it's good. I have a feeling the game is going to get hammered as a result of the missing features though, and it sometimes also takes more playtime before more nasty issues come to light. I'm happy for my £20 purchase price though.

I paid more and I'm well chuffed
I've been doing the time trial it tells you someone else's time to target

Just had a quick go on this and first impressions where much like above, driving/handling seemed ok on a joypad but game is lacking in content.

And I maxed the graphics out and using vsr to down sample from 1440 to 1080p and it was a blurry mess!

I'm gutted the scenario modes have gone, I really enjoyed these but no one seems to be kicking up a fuss on codies forums about it so guess I'm alone on that front.

The benchmark crashed for me when trying it but time trial ran ok.

Mixed bag ATM, if I had brought full price from steam I would be getting a refund just to cover myself in case codies don't support the game and fix issues. Game seems a little shallow and plenty of people on the codies forum are having problems

However I brought it for £20 from a key website so am stuck with it now.

They have just released a small patch for the game ;)

Hello everyone.

We are aware of players encountering some issues with the PC build, and we have just pushed a new build to Steam.

The fixes that are currently in the new patch are as listed below.
Flashback and the Instant Replay Flashback causes game to crash to desktop
Instant Replay - The game is crashing when entering an instant replay in all game modes
Backing out from a lobby in which you were a Client and Hosting a new Lobby will result in you not having Host Options for your new Lobby
Fuel info resets every time you cross the start/finish line
Out of box settings appear to be too high on onboard Intel GPUs
Graphics options do not save in certain situations
When a player collides before or after resetting to track, they get disqualified.
Clipping on the nose camera on the Manor car
Game crashes after running benchmark
Tyre wear carries over from short qualifying to race between intermediate & option tyres
Hang occurs when host backs out of Custom Lobby just before countdown finishes and loading begins.
Multiplayer qualifying result inconsistent across players
Backing out of a Lobby on 0 seconds of the countdown timer can result in a Hang if the player then creates and leaves a Custom Session.
Host will perpetually load after quitting game via front end after getting terminal damage in multiple races in custom lobby.

cant get this game to look good, generally looks flat and lifeless and the biggest annoyance are the white lines on the track and grid positions aren't solid and flash up until I'm about 2 meters away from them and its very off putting.

Game looks nothing like the bullshots i have seen in trailers/screenshot releases.

On a side note got the 11th fastest lap around silverstone whilst playing with graphics settings :)

EDIT**

Think it was the Silverstone track more than anything, played a little around Singapore and its defiantly a step up graphically compared to previous games

@peahead what settings are you using and can you take some ingame screenshots not from a replay? Have you turned anything on/off to make your images so sharp? I'm maxed out and downsampled a little and no matter what AA I use it doesn't look brilliant.

Could you also have ago on Silverstone as this was the first track I went on and it look quite bad. I edited my last post above saying Singapore looked better than before

If anyone fancies a quick game chis and I are going to play one at 10:45am - join ocuk and holler if you do - voice comms up to the individual

Does this game crash for anyone else every time you close it? Doesn't seem to do any harm and steam still sync.

I close it down and go back to desktop then get the pop up saying f12015.exe has stopped working etc.
