This - absolutely!

Red Bull screwed the pooch playing hardball with danny-ric, they will really miss him in the constructors next year without a doubt. I will go so far as to say that Gasly it could possibly cost him his career as I expect him to not perform any where near Verstappens' level.

Not a lot of point having an F1 team specifically to bloody young drivers if you keep on plugging away with same driver. JEV had three years with Toro Rosso, It was time for him to move on. Odd that they chose to promote the lower scoring Kyvat to Red Bull over him, and odder still considering how rapidly they binned Kvyat after his brilliant first season at Red Bull.

Still, I'd be glad to see JEV back in an F1 seat, he's a talented driver.
 
Sorry, came across wrong. I get the reason for Toro Rosso. Why they picked Kyvat over JEV for the senior team baffles me to this day.

Ferrari though well enough of his abilities to have him as a test driver for the next couple years.

I think Red Bull binning off Kvyat and replacing him with Verstappen so quickly was a panic move in response to Ferrari sniffing around Verstappen given his promising showing in Toro Rosso. Kvyat had had a bad run of luck with collisions culminating with the one with Vettel at Sochi, but I thought it was pretty harsh too.

I would like to see JEV get a second chance. Red Bull have a bit of a history of hanging drivers they don't want 'out to dry'; wasn't French Seb (Bourdais) fairly equal with German Seb (Vettel) for a while?

Max's dad and manager Jos basically said that he wouldn't be signing a damned thing unless it was for Red bull rather than Toro Rosso and both Mercedes and Ferrari had offered Max a deal already. It was a panic move by RB and it utterly destroyed Kvyat too.

Not really, Vettel had a stupid in China which he blamed on Kvyat (who went on to win a deserved podium) and then Kvyat hit Vettel in Sochi during a messy start to the race. Yes, it was clumsy but it was hardly an exceptional event. Max's destruction derby this Season was far more noteable.

Kvyat had driven a great first season for Red Bull, beating Riccardo, to drop him over a collision like this was disgusting behaviour from Red Bull.
