F1 2019 - Teams and Drivers - Who goes where?!

Being a 'works' team with Red Bulls budget, Danny would be mad to leave, unless it was Ferrari or Mercedes knocking.

According to the story i read he's waiting for Hamilton to decide what he's doing. I guess his choice is to stay where he is or go to Mercedes? Then again Bottas is out of contract too isnt he so there could be a space regardless. I still think Hamilton is going to chuck it in and go and do something else after this year.

According to Autosport sources anyway. I think I'll wait to see some confirmation, but great news if true. I used to really like Kimi but he's been pap since his return. Leclerc has been a standout driver so far this season so it's well deserved, but I worry about Ferrari's tendency to ruin promising young drivers they put in the second seat.

Article on Autosport/Motorsport reads like it's a done deal. For it to be such a strong rumor early in the season and the fact Kimis fate has been questioned for the last couple seasons... it makes sense now there's a genuine emerging talent to test the water with. They can spend less for the same or better performance IMO, from a business point of a view it makes sense.

Hopefully Leclerc doesn't bottle it if he gets the seat. Be nice to have a new Hamilton keeping the other big guns honest, it'd be great for the sport.

This is my fear... a great driver playing 2nd fiddle to Vettel because of Ferrari's number 1 driver tendencies would be many :(

Lets assume that Vettel stays for another 3-4 years, and gets himself one more championship.
Surely he will walk then? Leclerc will have a few years as tail-gunner before getting the number 1 seat surely.
If he continues to put in a good showing, the other teams will be looking into him around that time period anyway (if not before), so Ferrari will have to make a decision sooner rather than later.

I have made a few more updates, like the interesting situation with Sainz, and how the new engine deal with Honda might have some effect on his "loan" deal to Renault from the Red Bull stable.
If anyone can find any new information I have missed on other drives, please link in here so I can update :)

Let's be honest if he wins the WDC this year, he will be on 5.

If he then has a good shot in 2019 (which is likely barring any radical blunders) then he could be on 6 before contract re-negotiation... would he stop or go for equaling Schumacher's record?

Of course, the argument is that he should have won in 2007 and 2016 and we know how that went :D

I'd say Hamilton is worth it, relative to the remainder of the field and therefore the relative F1 driver market. The other current four time world champion driver seems to have a recurring habit of making more mistakes under pressure.
