F1 Car Launches 2010

Using KERS will get you kicked out of FOTA.

FOTA has all teams in it now, so being kicked out would be particularly bad for a team as they would be outnumber in any decision making.

Altho, If FOTA starts to look like a waste of time and like it might fall apart, I wouldnt be surprised if some of the teams 'conveniently' has KERS setups they were able to just drop in.

I don't know if the cars will have space for the system. This years McLaren has smaller sidepods than last years and contains a fuel tank twice the size.

Exactly, from the top the mclaren gets insanely thin at the back of its main body and is a mighty compact design, cant see kers getting back in without a whole new aero package to go around it.

Ferrari need to be holding development stuff back off the new car launch because that two tier front wing on the McLaren looks amazing.

That design was tested a couple of times last year - there's most likely a more advanced version on the way for testing.

Wow, the side to side comparisons on F1 Fanatic show just how much longer the 2010 cars are! Surely this could have massive impact on driving style and handling? Didnt McLaren make massive steps to solving their 2009 problems by REDUCING the wheelbase of their car?

The McLaren looks like its a foot longer!!

A little foretaste of the Renault colours perhaps

Liking the look of that Renault livery! BMW Sauber looks pretty good with no sponsors, wonder who they will be getting in. Need some closer shots to see the details more clearly though! Fairly interesting front wing from that last picture.

Lots of bare carbon on the BM...Sauber :D
Renault looks a hell of a lot better in that paint job.

Near complete lack of sponsors on both cars is interesting too.

Don't have time to do some technical analysis yet although from first impressions both look reasonably conventional, like the Ferrari - plus more highres images would be useful.
