To be honest I've not heard a lot of bosses mentioned; not heard a mention of Toto Wolff or Eric Vasseur either.
I think its more that they're focusing on the cars (and loving the sound of their own voices) more than anything else

Edit: Just about saw Toto's eye there

Toto and Eric have been filmed quite a bit during the session, Eric on the pit wall and Toto in the garage as usual.

First morning complete:

Verstappen, Red Bull, 1m32.548s - 66 laps
Leclerc, Ferrari, 1m33.247s - 63 laps
Alonso, Aston Martin, 1m33.385s - 77 laps
Piastri, McLaren, 1m33.658s - 55 laps
Tsunoda, RB, 1m34.136s - 63 laps
Russell, Mercedes, 1m34.230s - 46 laps
Bottas, Sauber, 1m34.431s - 67 laps
Albon, Williams, 1m34.587s - 40 laps
Ocon, Alpine, 1m34.677s - 60 laps
Magnussen, Haas, 1m35.692s - 65 laps

Not great for Williams and Mercedes, but not a disaster for anyone.

Verstappen looking strong to the surprise of nobody.

Is this another repeat for AM, Where they seem to be strong out of the gate but can not keep up with development? It would be amazing to see Alonso fighting with Verstappen for a championship.

Mercedes running a 'What's App' button on the steering wheel for the radio communication :p

A photo of the button mentioned above - That's probably worth a couple of £m in Sponsorship :p

That looks like a good number of laps from everyone bare Williams and Mercedes. Hopefully, they can make the deficit up in the afternoon.

Watching the F1 testing today reminded me to check in on what happened in the F2 tests earlier this month. Mercedes' dream child, Kimi Antonelli, outpaced his fancied teammate Oli Bearman in all but one session. Not bad for a rookie. Not bad at all.

I see some are struggling with the concept of "testing". But let's predict the entire season based on today anyway. Why not. :)
that has to be a dummy, cant see Lewis or George texting during a race
Imagine the scenes...

Ted: "Yes Crofty I had weetabix actually this morning followed by..."
Crofty: "Two secs Ted..."
Crofty: "...And wow, Max is sending a message into turn 1..."
<all pause>
<Message interpreted on live screen and played out loud>
*SHES LOVELY*
Crofty: "Not sure if that was intended for Christian there Martin?"
