Do Mercedes have a stepped nose?
They are running the 2011 spec car with various 2012 parts being tested, so we won't know until they use the proper 2012 car.
Do Mercedes have a stepped nose?

funky rear brake drums[/QUOTE]
Clearly I'm going to have to go to the rear ends to get any fill of good looks this year. Woof.
Ted Kravitz - Ferrari's pullrod front suspension is impressive, they confirm had to strengthen upright to handle the increased loads. Gives aero benefit.
There was a good site last year which had all the laps and times for each car separated into stints. Don't remember the name though.
someone on the cars forum just posted this link. it looks great for tracking who is doing what and where:

no idea how close to live it is because ive only just found out about it
The exhaust can only have one opening. So they can't mix cold air in with it.
Unless you mean something else.
Yeah it seemed strange the bump was so big with that suspension
maybe Im misunderstanding what you are meaning but I thought a few cars had an exhaust opening on both sides of the car (ie two openings)?
I'd like to agree, but it's hard to.
The reason they did so well last year was down to the fact that they could literally bolt on 2 seconds before Melbourne, just by putting on a new exhaust. If they don't have the speed this year, where's the magical innovation going to come from?

If you're to believe 'Mr Men' it's a higher tub and stepped front nose.
/tongue firmly in cheek.
Either way, much better start than last year where they had endless issues.
