First news from anywhere about Marussia comes from the Autosport feed:

Lotus are done for the day already. They've have had an issue with the chassis and so have been forced to pack it all up and send it back to the factory in Enstone.

No word on whether they'll be able to continue tomorrow or not.

only times that can be compared with a grain of salt are the long stints where you can see the tyre drop offs etc

I'm perfectly aware that testing times are irrelevant. So don't know why your showing your girlie parts to me.

I was getting at, the fact they are likely to be cursing around doing checks on their new car.

The fact the Merc appears on the pace out of the blocks is promising. Every other car (excluding LOLMarussia) has 4 days of testing under its belt already.

Marussia are using the old car though aren't they? Along with HRT?

I guess it's tyre testing. Since none of them used the EBD i doubt their new cars will offer much of a change.

Almost every lap that Pic has done today has been slower than his qualifying time for last years GP2 race at Barcelona...

Yep and he was back out on mediums until a red flag, fair to say they were running a fair bit of fuel

I notice that in both tests so far the schedule has been arranged so that Hamilton and Massa have been running on different days
