That's my thoughts too. I'm not looking for high brow F1 accuracy and fully understand it'll be a popcorn movie and a bit ridiculous but sometimes that's what I want. It'll be a 'fun' film with lots of action, that'll do for me.

Say that in twenty years time when the 63 year old rookie, Fernando Alonso is driving for Renault.I'm struggling to buy into the movie on the basis there's no way an F1 driver would be that old. Or am I reading too much into this?
My thoughts as well.Yeh, it will probably be relatively entertaining. However it's going to make me cringe and roll my eyes a lot, I know it.
Going to see it on Sunday - if nothing else I'm looking forward to the racing scenes as it looks they've gone all out to make that part look authentic, along with being able to film alongside the real cars and drivers. I'm sure the story will be a bit bobbins but most racing movie plots are. Rush and Ford vs Ferrari are the pinnacle imo and I'm not sure this will live up to those but I'll be turning my brain off and hopefully enjoying it.
Seeing this tonight, weirdly my new partner was happy to see it too. This is despite me knowing full well she's going to fall asleep through it.
Actually shocking how bad the cinema experience is nowadays, theres just nothing on!
Going to the Glasgow IMAX to see this. At least if its terrible it'll be terrible on a huge screen. There were hardly any seats left too.Got my tickets booked tonight, i cant wait.
