Unless he has a sensational Euros then unfortunately the fans aren't gonna like this.

It's only really Liverpool fans that hate Hodgson, most if not all ex Liverpool players/pundits that I've seen are actually quite sympathetic to the circumstances that he had to deal with during his time at the club.

This international experience people are talking about, really

Switzerland and UAE

What happend to Bilic he was in the running, young, spent 4 years in EPL, knows how to manage decent national team.

Woy has a much better managerial record than melty face.

Agreed, what Arry has done to Spurs since the turn of the year proves his tactical inadequacies which would only get shown up even more at International level. Woy on the other hand at least has experience at a European level and bar a dodgy spell at Liverpool did wonders for Fulham and now WBA

If the FA are determined to give it to an Englishman then Hodgson is the only option tbh (unless they go with a young inexperience manager)

Doing wonders at WBA equals winning 1 in every 3 games by playing with 2 banks of 4 and punting long balls up to isolated frontmen. That's as far as his tactical knowledge stretches. He's a manager for small teams, not a manager for a side that has any sort of expectations.

There aren't many options if they want an English manager but Hodgson isn't far from being the worst option.
He's won more Trophies that 'Arry too :)

I bet he'd swap all his medals for Redknapp's single FA Cup winners medal though.

Lots of spurs fans I know will be gutted, those that wanted shot of Harry from early on.
Myself I couldn't care less really, until the players attitudes and clubs to releasing players for friendlies change I will cheer on whoever England are playing and hope our 'superstars' get the quickest and most humiliating exit possible.

It doesn't matter who gets the job, the players will still be smoking cigars and by the pool 1 day after their humiliating exit.

He's established WBA as genuine PL side, not the yoyo club they once were. Not once this season (or since he took over) have they ever looked like being pulled into a relegation fight, that's an achievement for a club the size of WBA imo

Hodgson record and his experience in 17-18 counties tells me he is the best English candidate.

Im sorry Spurs have fell apart in the last 2 months, and Daniel Levy will demand silly money for Arthur Daley

One season is establishing them? And I've not once said he's not done a good job at WBA, he has. He'd still be a terrible manager for England or any side that hope/expects to win (or at least challenge for) trophies. He knows one way of playing which is suited to WBA or clubs at a similar level.

I dont want Woy or 'arry

Can we not get Pep

Yeah because he showed his colours when the going got tougher. Pep could sprinkle our players with fairy dust and he still would be able to get the useless ****s to string 10 complete passes together without a hoooooof up field when they got 5 minutes in.

So true, I wouldn't even take some of the "mature" players, they have had enough chances at the WC/Euros

Rooney miffed at the "fans" booing wasn't it, the fans that work hard for a living, paying £1000s to go to a world cup to watch that **** that couldn't even beat Algeria ALGERIA ffs, while he post on twitter with his race horses and play things.

English footballers are a disgrace, they soon forget football was a working mans game.

Pep could have quit at any point during the past 3 years, didn't he win 14/18 trophies that were possible? Some people have a really dumb low opinion of him.

Then there's the inevitable trying to defend a 1 goal lead for an hour!

He has two things in his favour :

1) Good track record in international football with mediocre sides
2) Has turned around mediocre premiership sides (apart from Liverpool where he wasn't called Kenny) and had them play above their ability.

When it comes to polishing a turd like the English national side I can't see anyone better.

Couldn't agree more
