No, my point is as soon as the press starting going on about the drop in form at Spurs being due to Redknapp being linked to the England Managers job, they should have come out and said "we don't want Redknapp."
Why string everyone along if there was never any chance of him being approached?
Except they did -

FA Board Member specifically stating Harry Redknapp should get the job. Also there were comments from several others, including Trevor Brooking if my memory serves.
Source?
Why is he? Less medals? More clubs have been bankrupted after Redknapp has left. Seriously what has Redknapp actually achieved to garner this reputation? 1 solitary FA Cup? I don't think Hodgson is the messiah, but he's certainly no worse than Redknapp.
imo one of Roy's finest achievements is that he's left so many Liverpool fans constantly seething. It was all his fault, that's why things are so rosy now he's gone!!

Think it's pretty disgusting how Woy has been treated already and he's not even gotten the job.

Treated by whom? Liverpool fans on ocuk? I think most will agree (and the poll backs this up) that there's a lot who feel he's the best Englishman for the job
Not just bitter Liverpool fans on here, but rather the media. Watching Match of the Day basically say they all thought Redknapp should have gotten the job, the way the media seem to be treating Woy as an unpopular second choice.
Liverpool fans are treating him disgustingly by saying we don't think he's a good manager? Tummy must be a sensitive soul if he finds anything said on here disgusting or he's saying things for effect.
And I'm pretty sure most of Hodgson's support is down to a dislike of Redknapp rather than actual support of Hodgson.

Why is it 'ok' to undermine an England manager before they've gotten the job?
No, you can't generalise like that, but suppose you will because you're unable to look at Woy with an unbiased view point.
I'm completely ambivilant towards who gets the England job, it's not like England are good enough at International level.
