City were by a mile the better side today.

Stoke were just hopeless, resorted to type and played route one football. So lost a F.A. Cup final and were shocking and finished top ten, still having a better season then Arsenal? :p

Fair play to Hart just then as well, Bloody love Balotelli! Proper mentalist in the making there :D

Think it's just a sad day for football, Money can apparently buy you an FA Cup final and playing **** ugly football can get you to the final.

Stokes football isn't that ****. Were far better than Arsenal last week footballing wise.

It is not the first time teams have spent big to get trophies, Real Madrid in the early 2000's spent quite a reasonable amount of money?

Real were a massive club before hand though, they are a club steeped in history. It's not quite the same as City, who have very little recent history just throwing money at football.

Stoke played horrific today though, I thought they were very good against Arsenal, but just resorted to type, route one ugly football today. I think had their final against Arsenal tbh, such a shame as if they played that well today they'd have won.

Yet again missed the point Cheets! Woo well done.

My point was it's a sad day for football when unsuccessful clubs can just throw half a billion at a team and then win a Cup.

Manchester United / Real et all were all massive clubs who've spent money.

Still throwing money at a club with or without history it shouldn't matter, it is part of football and really seems one of the only ways teams can break into the section of the 'bigger teams'.

Isn't that how the big teams stay on top, spend a lot of money like United? They have to start somewhere.

we bought Shearer for £15mil fair play, but a) he is english, b) he is from the area. yes Newcastle spent a fair amount of money at the time, but no where near city, heck in the last 3 years or so City have probably spent more on transfer and wages than Arsenal, Man utd, chelsea and liverpool combined.
