***FA Cup QF and Premier League 7th March***

Tevez had a great game yesterday and absolutely deserved his MOTM award - however last weekend shows why he ISNT worth £25m, because he really isnt at the races some match days

Its like he is living off what he did last season on some days (where he was worth his weight in gold) - and then there are days like yesterday where he realises he needs to prove it every single game for Man Utd.

I know players have off days, and they are all human at the end of the day, but Tevez has had way more than his fair share of off days this season

Anderson did well for his 2nd game back from injury - but unless something drastic happens in training/Wednesday he wont play before lunchtime Saturday

Rooney did very well also - even if he did hit the post with a sitter (and another one incorrectly chalked off for him, must be about the 6th this season for him alone) - glad he got taken off before he got a red though as you could see it coming, and while it was off target I laughed at his attempt from the half way line which was still pretty close. His goal at the start of the 2nd half really killed Fulham off

Defensively Utd where all over the place in the 1st half - VDS was in the middle of nowhere fortunately Vidic hooked it off the line, Vidc with a dodgy header back to VDS that he only was just able to catch, yes it was good Fulham play but Utd definitely made it difficult for themselves

Utd made it look easy in the end but Fulham definitely had us on the ropes in the first 15-20 minutes or so, very fortunate we didnt concede

I have a feeling Utd will get Arsenal next (albeit they are a round /two matches behind at this time) - and yes Wembley should be kept for the final, to keep it a special occasion

Roll on Wednesday!!!

We don't just decide to like one player and shout his name from the roof tops even when a stadium of his own fans is booing him ;)

BOLLLLLLL

Is that sarcasm? Almost every game somebody mentions how well park plays, i dont need to tell you scoring goals isnt everything.

Park is a donkey and consistently one of the worst players on the pitch every game, he continually gives the ball away, runs it out of play, passes it to the opposition, he has no final ball, he cant tackle, he cant win headers and cant finish.

No scoring goals isnt everything, doing everything else competently is everything, and it is something he fails to do in almost every match he plays.

he is unfortunately one of very few naturally wide players the club has at senior level - well ok he is converted wide player, but most others cut in early

That has been our making this season is the wide play right up to the goal /dead ball line

Yes for the amount of coners and crosses we put in, we should be scoring a huge amount more no question the delivery has to get better

Im not sure who is worse, Park or Nani - both can have really excellent games (for them at least) but then let themselves (and the team) down in the next game

Robbie Earl :o

Minutes after Alonso is shown attempting to score from the half way line in the advert for the Liverpool v Madrid game Robbie Earl claims Wayne Rooney is the only player capable of scoring from the half way line.

God you speak some rubbish, he's a good player but then again I suppose you know more about football than SAF....

No he isnt.
He singlehandedly breaks down most of our attacks.

I can pretty much dismiss everything you say on the basis that your counter argument to my assertion that he is a Donkey is that, "I talk rubbish".

I think your being very harsh on him there. Out of all the wingers we have he retains possession the most. Being defensively good is not all about Tackling, it's the spaces you take up when you haven't got the ball that dictates how effective you are. All the key games we have won in the Prem and Champions League and him playing in, his defensive play has always been acknowledged.

Granted he is no world beater going forward but he gives a level of consistency we sometimes need to grind out results

It's something ridiculous that we have only lost one game when Park has started, anyone who does not see how good he is has no clue about football ie atpbx. Firstly him and evra have a great understanding and it is becuase of Park's work rate that allows evra to bomb on and be so effective. Secondly he hardly gives the ball away, many of his passes are safe but he has great movment and is always an option in a quick one two. Thirdly he is very good at shrugging off players by turning them with his back to goal.

Admittely in front of goal he is sometimes a headless chicken, but if he improves this he will be a great player for the shirts.

I'm pretty sure your always negative about something United whether its Berbatov or Park or some other player you think is a "donkey". Surely at this point of the season you have to admit we are doing pretty well...

heh, did no one actually watch the Cov game? Being a Cov fan I thought they did well to only have 2 goals scored against them considering Chelsea put out a strong side. Just goes to show that Chelsea aint that great to be honest.

Everyone can see that there are blatantly some utility players that do well (but not brilliantly) in the Utd squad - yes Im sure Fergie could go out and spend £20m-£30m to replace each one, but then they would be upsetting the squad by being benched every so often.

You never hear any complaints from Fletcher, OShea, Park when they dont get a few games in a row (maybe this is another reason why Tevez is still not signed after the interviews in Argentinian earlier in the season) , where you probably would from big name players who could potentially replace them.

Its also a fact that all these players can do a job - maybe not mind blowing, but a decent job - in two or three areas of the pitch

This season is also showing in one sense how much Owen Hargreaves is missed, after covering at least three different positions with distinction last season in the relatively few games he played (compared to what he should have)

Ok first half when it is really quite weakened, but Vela showing why Arsenal fans are so excited about him, what a top class goal. Gallas has turned into a great defender since shedding the captaincy and is playing awesomely recently. The thought of Arshavin with fit + Cesc is making me pretttty excited.

Gallas WAS brilliant and was always brilliant since he shrugged off his early Arsenal injury woes. Utter nonsense that he was bad early season, he's only been a bit better lately. He's an incredibly solid player, I suggest you go back and watch early season games, Gallas is the same he is now, Sagna didn't have a great start to the season, Toure was barely getting games, Djourou was played a lot and is useless. Song also got a lot of games during our really crap period, right back, centre back and in midfield. Gallas was just the latest "lets blame him" player for our crappy form. Oh we're letting in goals, blame gallas, he did that thing last year so lets blame him for everything. The only thing thats changed since his "outburst" other than the whole team getting it together, is that he's not captain, he's officially not the problem anymore so we've stopped blaming him, he's stopped being the scapegoat, yet the problems that were there before are still there, hence he wasn't at fault in the first place. Fans randomly choose to make a scapegoat out of a player until the fad passes and they blame everything on someone else. when the blame changes and the problem stays the same you should be able to work out you blamed the wrong person.

Remember gallas, toure were superb all last year, joint lowest losses in the league, how was gallas crap last year or any other time, he hasn't been, its nonsense. Fans want someone to blame for the team failing and he was simply the mouthiest target. Despite the fact it was the outburst that helped change the team around dramatically, fans seem blind to what he's done for our team and he hasn't folded to all the blame, all the accusations, being dropped from the team, he stayed professional and as good as ever.

Where exactly is Arshavin going to play when Cesc is back, and if they both play, where will RVP play. Arshavin again almost all his best work is close to the box, his crossing hasn't been particularly great today and his corners have been very poor, he's got not much pace and all his great work is central.

THe more I see him the more I think he is a great player, but I wouldn't drop either Cesc or RVP for him and once everyones back and fit he won't start as a winger.

Vela's finish yet again showed what a natural striker he is, he can play on the wing, but why. Very clearly Eduardo and Vela are a million times better than Adebayor as a proper front man, as a withdrawn striker or big man to win headers, Bendtner and RVP are clearly a far better choice then stupid. Today I thought it was a poor choice to start both our little men, a perfect game to get RVP back scoring or get Bendtner even more confidence, he's scoring at the moment, keep the run going and give us some really strong options upfront for a very long tough finish to the season. Also get a partnership going with one of our withdrawn and one of our up top guys, as we won't start these two upfront in any other games this season against pl/cl opposition.

Man U fans need to get it right, they are winning the league because of their fletchers and parks. Firstly no other top team has the stable back up man u has, they might not be fancy tricky players that Liverpool have, but how often do Benny, Babel, Reira, lucas, etc, etc perform, one great game in 10 maybe. The way to win things is have players that are "ok" in 9/10 games, and bad in the other one, rather than players who are world class in 1/10, and crap in the rest.
