***FA Cup QF and Premier League 7th March***

The way to win things is have players that are "ok" in 9/10 games, and bad in the other one, rather than players who are world class in 1/10, and crap in the rest.

Yes thats right, fact is though, Park doesnt have 9/10 ok games, he has 1/10 ok games, and 0/10 world class ones.

Its a testament to the greatness of Carrick, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Rooney and Ronaldo that they are so good that they can carry sub standard dross like Fletcher, O'shea and Park week in week out.

Man U's "Ok" players this Season are Johnny Evans, Tevez and Anderson.

What a sexy performance :D Song showed a side of him we haven't seen before today (and it was great!), Diaby showed much improved passing and tackling and if he gets into some fitness and gets a run of games he could provide a great partner to Cesc in a few weeks.

Theo showed a couple of things I'd forgotten about over the last few months, he's very quick and very dangerous but he's not there yet in terms of use of the ball. But wow at Arsenal's attacking options :o. Gibbs was EXCELLENT too, watch out Clichy, he was better than Clichy has been recently today. Oh yeah, Eduardo is unbelievable, best Arsenal goal of the season maybe? Technically at least

Diaby has largely been good whenever he plays and on occasion outstanding, the trouble is that he can never seem to string more than a handful of games together before getting injured....and then he's out for 4-6 weeks.

Only saw the last 20 mins today but just watched the replay of Eduardo's goal, my god he has talent....makes you wonder what would have happened last season if he stayed fit doesn't it.

Eboue :p:eek::p

Arsenals problem this year and last has been injuries. If we had a fully fit side then we could challenge anyone. The facts are we have had a terrible run since moving to the emirates with injuires. I am sure when we were at Highbury we never had this bad a run of injured players.

Hopefully we can put a strong run together and push villa for that forth spot, FA Cup or Championsleague (dreaming) would be some nice icing on the cake.

Song and Diaby were still horrible defensively, Song wasn't particularly good, for the "defensive" player he was getting to far forward to often. yes his back hell was great but frankly he shouldn't be there, he was frequently too far up the field and they broke on us with him well behind the play, the majority of his attacking play was worthless but his assist was very very nicely done.

Eboue was good throughout, you really want to make a point of checking where Eboue is on the pitch at any time, he'll be defending our box, a fast break will go up the pitch with 2-3 players then out of no where Eboue pops up in their box, then he's back defending deep again. The thing he does so well with popping up in the box is giving others space. Its not a hard skill, and Freddie used to do it all the time, just running into the box throws defenders off, they don't know who to mark and it creates space to pass into others, or run into with the ball, shoot through. Freddie was far more composed in the box and full of confidence and scored loads. Eboue gets in the right place and with confidence might get more of those goals as he spends the entire game running hard.

Diaby really wasn't great, his one true skill is being able to keep the ball and ride tackles, at one point he rode about 6 tackles from 4 people and it looked great, but he got past, had about 4 people to pass to, didn't, lost the ball and they ran at us hard and they had a few minutes of pressure after. He passes too slowly, runs into dead ends to much and is horrible defensively. He used to be much more effective on the wing as he had less responsibility and running yourself is a good thing on the wing. Another game where he created little, did little lost the ball far to much and slowed most plays he got involved in.

Theo, as I keep saying, is a striker through and through, he looked a better player today than in all but a handful of his matches in the past couple years. He's got pace to run in behind and a good finisher(with a little form/confidence).

Eduardo is just a world class talent and was woefully underused last year pre-injury, he's looked as good just before injury, as now, as he did in his first pre-season games for us last year. Vela basically exactly the same things to say about him.

Why is it we play these "teams" in the cup that play superb football but Wenger won't give them a chance/run in the team in the league because "they need time to adjust". What nonsense.

again, myth and fantasy on both parts. Firstly we had horrific run of injuries going way WAY back before the emirates, we had a good 2-3 years of tonnes of injuries before the move.

Secondly, look whose been out, no DM's, so denilson/song would be playing even if the entire squad was 100% fit today and thats our weakness.

If all our strikers were fit, who would Wenger play, RVP/Adebayor, so what use is having Eduardo/Vela/Theo anyway, two of those have been fit but were never picked up front while we have Ade playing like crap in a style that doesn't fit the team. The whole rest of the team thrives on fast attacking fluid football, Ade simply can't play that football.

On the wings, Rosicky, would he be chosen ahead of Nasri, maybe, maybe not, likewise on the right, he played Theo a lot despite not being very good there, we'll probably now be going Arshavin/Nasri on the wings.

Our injuries have been bad, and our depth has been a little limited, but had they all been fit the team wouldn't have changed much at all. Look who we've had fit this year and Wengers refused to play. How many times have we put out a good team but Wengers played it with 1 upfront being a scared little girl and playing say RVP in an overcrowded midfield and left Ade uptop to hold up the ball, which he's incapable of.

how many times, like 4-2 up against spurs did he incorrectly decide to take off our best players in the game and go "defensive" with a ridiculous formation incapable of keeping hold of the ball. INjuries have made the year harder, but its the fundamental tactical choices, and non dropping of utter crap players that has ruined the year, and those decisions wouldn't have changed with a 100% fit squad.

Can't believe the three goals. All awesome. Vela's was pure individual skill, Eduardo was a combination of a perfect chipped ball by Song (great vision!) and then a sublime finish. Eboue's was some more good vision and trickery by Song (who'd have thought?), followed by power.

Good to see :D

Do like Song.

Everton 0-1 Boro

Where's Azza when you need him? Oh yeah, he only pops up when they win :D

I took a chance and did a bet that included Boro, I know what'll happen now!

Im here... LOL :D

YAY :D 1-1 :)

Got work to do so i'm listening to it on the radio so no idea how we playing, sounded like we had a pretty poor first half though.

Quite a pleasing performance that even considering our opposition. All 3 goals were top draw. I'm amazed Eboue hit the target . Was nice to see Theo straight down the middle but he was a little too rusty to take advantage of a few situations.

Drunkenrambler you do realise that Arshavin is actually bloody quick?? He's actually one of our forwards who can effectively play left or right from what Ive seen too. As to Song he was our furthest back midfielder on a lot of occasions he just broke forward really well too. I really don't know why i continue to read your crap posts.

In the last few mins of the Everto game there should have been about 3 goals, Saha is pants.

I keep reading Drunkenmasters post, and they always **** off everybody on the damn pitch.

I think i'm just going to stop reading them. Heck, I can even say Arsenal played well today, I'm a United supporter.
I'd rather draw Chelsea or Everton in the Cup, I really do believe Arsenal play some lovely football when they want to.
