FA Cup Semi Finals + other football *Spoilers*

Yeah they look cool when they go in... I mean how cool did he look taking that high pressure penalty last season against Chelsea for the equalizer? He didn't look cool once he'd scored though as he showed a rare glimpse of passion. I think most players have made an absolute hash of a penalty at some time. Berbatovs penalty taking is all about sending the keeper the wrong way, Howard sussed him out.

To be fair Berbatov scored the exact kind of penalty against Chelsea last year in the Carling Cup and no one said a word, his tachnique in penalties is to wait until the last second to see which way the keeper goes, its a 50/50 situation like any other pen, the keeper guessed the right way. If Howard had gone the other way, the pen would have rolled in no problems.

It's the same with Ronaldo's tenchique, he stops before taking, can put him off, but if he gets it right he'll score. Everyone has a technique.

Ronaldo hits it a lot harder so even if the keeper goes the right way, it's still likely to find it's way past. If Berbatov had smashed that ball and it was saved, no problem. It was a good save but the effort put into it was very poor. He has let himself and his teammates down. I can understand taking those sorts of penalties if you are winning 3-0 in a game and can afford to have it saved.

As long as the smoggies win doesn't spark a mini revival, I agree.
For anyone who doubts my prediction of Hull, Boro and WBA for the drop and toon to survive look at the remaining fixtures:

Blackburn

1 - Blackburn v Wigan, 16:00

0 - West Ham v Middlesbrough, 16:00

2 points = 34 points

It'll be close but I think that's worst case for Newcastle, they'll probably beat Boro at home. Hull and Boro have horrendous run ins

A huge difference in a side that brings on scholes and Berba to one that brings on Rodwell and Vaughan. I'd happily swap :D

Depends on where you start though - Everton had a lot more experience and quality all around the pitch - Utd's main experience (and quality - as apposed to promise - was in defence)

Hull & Boro's run in are terrible, we'v had it tough over the past few games, Chelsea, Arsenal & Manu, but not we've got 3 winnable games in Pompy, Boro ^ Fulham at home, really do think we will pick up 7 poins from them, the main worry is what other people get and Boro & Hull aren't going to get many off that lot. Sunderland have it tough as well but there win at the weekend has done them massive favours.

Really I think different. Baines, Lescott, Hibbert, Neville, Osman, Fellaini, Pienaar, Saha wouldn't have even been good enough to get in your second string side.

I'd say the only ones good enough are Howard and Cahill, maybe osman. Our experience like your team was at the back and even then it re-shuffled. Baines has only had a run in the side because Yobo got injured so they moved Lescott into the middle freeing up left back. Other than that he was out the door. Jag was bought as a midfielder and has become another defender.

Fellaini is still dog ****, he's improved but is still a joke for the money.

Man for man you had far more experirience on the pitch.

And look at what we had to bring on....

Nash, Yobo, Castillo, Jacobsen, Gosling, Vaughan, Rodwell.

No comparison in quality in my opinion even to your back up players.

I'd be happy to swap our back four and front two in that game for yours. I'd even chuck in the Yak and a packet of wotsits.:D

And I still want us to sign park.

Both Da Silva's, Foster, Gibson, Welbeck and Kiko all have vastly less experience than majority of the Everton starting line up

They may well have more promise, but apart from Foster all of the them have played less than about 15 epl games if all added together (and I only exclude Foster because of his loan spell - even he has only played two EPL games in the last two seasons for Utd and about ten apps in total)

(as I said our CB's yesterday where the only really experienced players on the pitch for Utd, so no wonder you want them - but no one's gonna get them lol)

PLEASE take Park off us

TAKE HIM!!! :p

But seriously, take him please. ;)

PLEASE take Park off us

:D

I'm quite hopefull fergie might send him our way in the summer. Moyes and Fergie seem to get on very well. I think he'd be a decent addition to our squad.

He runs his backside off and thats the sort of players we need really. Id rather we bought him that spend a fortune bringing Jo across.

That's a load of rubbish, I'm afraid. Fabio da Silva over Baines on current form and ability? Give me a break. Welbeck over Pienaar? Gibson over Fellaini? I'll have a pint of whatever you're on, please.

Baines has only had a run in the side because Yobo got injured so they moved Lescott into the middle freeing up left back.

True, but it was only a matter of time before he became our first choice left back. Moyes even said as much himself.

Jag was bought as a midfielder and has become another defender.

Wrong again.

Fellaini is still dog ****, he's improved but is still a joke for the money.

And again, IMO.

Man for man you had far more experirience on the pitch.

And again. Maybe fourth time lucky?

Wow, you really don't think very much of the team you claim to support, do you? As for Park, I rate him as a pretty good player but he's not much of an improvement, if at all, over Pienaar. Very similar players.

Wow, you really don't think very much of the team you claim to support, do you? .

Whats that got to do with supporting the team. There are still complete donkeys in the side. Pienaar, Yakubu and Fellaini are 3 players I cannot stand. Two of those cost over 10 million and imo aren't work ****.

I'd like to see all 3 shipped out and replaced. Especially Yakubu.

Supporting a side has bugger all to do with it, there are supporters of many teams on here that I'm sure have players they would like rid of.

Yeah, great.

Let's ship out a player with a goalscoring record of almost 1 in 2 since he signed for us. Our one and only prolific scorer. Let's also get rid of our biggest creative threat in Pienaar. 14 assists last season, another great idea!

Wait a minute, though, because if pushing your best goalscorer and your top goal creator out of the exit door isn't enough, let's also get rid of our 21 year old record signing, who's played out of position since September and STILL managed to score 8 goals in his debut season, winning praise from managers, pundits and fans alike.

So that's our top assist maker, our best goalscorer and one of the most influential young players in the Premiership, who's been pivotal to our turn around in fortunes since he signed. Well at least if you get your way, we'll be able to go back to 10 years ago, hoofing up long balls to no one for 90 minutes because we've got no one to create and no one to score.

I can only say I'm relieved you're not the manager.

10 years? Until the injuries thats exactly how we ahve been playing the last 3 years under moyes. Single striker and hit him. I felt sorry for AJ and Beattie as neither where suited to that kind of football. I'm glads he seems to have stopped with that sort of formation.

Yakubu is lazy. I lost all respect for him when he bottled the uefa cup pens and came off right before the shootout. He misses far too many and I don't think it's any coincidence we struggled in the league and have played better since he became injured. For me he doesn't do enough.

Fellaini praise? I haven't seen any. I've seen plenty of stuff about him struggling and plenty of mocking on just how shocking he has been for most of the season. As I said he's only recently turned a corner but he still aint great or worth the money paid.

Peinaar gives the ball away far too much for my liking with sloppy passes. I would honestly rather have park.

Hull and Boro have horrendous run ins
Hull do look like they've screwed up any chance they had of staying up now. They've already had their easier fixtures against those below them, and they've comprehensively failed to get anything from them. Coupled with their terrible home form, it's really not looking good now. Their only real chance now is really hoping everybody below them is as bad or worse.
