However it was a good enough game, only spoiled by a terrible referee who blew far, far too often, got the small decisions only about 50/50 correct and who got the big decision wrong.
As long as Chelsea don't win the CL, I think I actually want them to win it now.
Moyes is a horrible little toad, who I would hate to take charge at MUFC.
Ouch. Bitter much?
I think Riley got the penalty decision wrong, but where's the mention of inexplicably booking Cahill when he was clean through on goal? I don't see much difference, to be honest. Both probably would have resulted in goals, only our player was put into the book for some reason.
I have a lot of time for United and their fans, most of my mates are big United supporters, but I can't believe some of the moaning I've read. I'm too tired and can't even be bothered picking it all apart but anyone expecting Ferguson to essentially select his first team again after that game in Porto midweek and ahead of a huge Premiership match against Portsmouth is a complete lunatic.
In addition, anyone questioning Moyes or our players for showing a lack of ambition or no desire to go and win the game ought to have a look at our injury list. Our best and most creative midfielder is out for the season, as is our only reliable, prolific striker. Take Gerrard and Torres out of Liverpool's side and see how they cope. Take Ronaldo and Rooney out of United's side and see how they fare. Oh, that's right, we did today, and now they're out. How nice it must be to have the embarrassment of riches these clubs can afford, when we've been running on empty with a patched up first team for ages.
In any case, I've not long since got back from Wembley after a very long day and, although I'm not delighted with the performance, the win will do me very nicely indeed. I'll be more than happy to do it all again next month.
