Then the harm would still be in developers spending time implementing features that rule out some fans merely based on brand choice. That sounds kind of harmful for some so that didn't take long to think through the processes. It's not a massive hit considering the effects aren't usually the best but it is a bit sad that doing this means they probably don't put as much effort into the features for the others and only for nvidia crowd as it would be redundant to implement it well and then use nvidia effects anyway.
 
Should think of it more like his boss wades in and tells him he's to use the ****tiest program to use it that eats up more resources than his choice would have and slows down his work progress...coz the boss got a bung.:D

The problem with gimpedworks is that it needlessly tanks performance even on top end Nvidia GPUs, not just AMD cards. IT forces vendors who have been paid money by Nvidia to use a less efficient way of doing graphical effects. The fact that even top developers have said this should not be ignored.

Exactly how i felt when i first read the news. So excited for Fallout 4 now im just... Meh ill see how it goes on launch now before i buy.
