Fallout 4 to feature Nvidia Gameworks

It's great news... as long as it can be switched off!

Far Cry 4 was crashing on me 980 TI until I turned off gimpworks - did not even work properly on recent NVIDIA hardware!

How do we know its a bug fest, it doesnt say Ubisoft/EA/DICE on the box so I think we should be ok.

The FuryX only realy shines when game works is switches on The Witcher 3, so game works really is vendors agnostic.

Seriously, I'm half expecting a mess to begin with but at least with previous Fallout games they've run great when they run, smooth and fast just would crash out of the game constantly. If we get that but add in crap stuttering gameplay that nearly every gameworks game appears to have I'll be incredibly disappointed.

Is there a recent gameworks game(or lets say a few of them) that haven't been a bit of a disaster on launch if not for a long time afterwards. FC4 took a freaking age to be somewhat sorted out.

I'm hoping this will be more like Dying Light, really like the GW effects in that (although I admit I only jumped in after a few patches)

Is it me or is it a bit strange that this info has only just been revealed, and so close to launch? Last minute addition/offer maybe?

I don't care if it does feature Game works as long as its not forced to run on my system and i can turn it off. Hopefully with this being another developer using gameworks perhaps they make good use of it and get great optimisation under the hood before release. If not it's just going to follow the trail of a lot of other gamework titles and then face the scrutiny of ohh game works... another mess.

Then again it may add some nice eye candy to the game and run well we don't know. We just know how it has gone in the past lol.

+1 with tweaks.

If it's just shadows then not the end of the world.

If it's significant effects then that's pretty pathetic - Bethesda aren't exactly short of cash so do they really need to use buggy vendor specific shortcuts?
