Fallout 4 to feature Nvidia Gameworks

I don't deal in %s. The end result is nvidia is losing more fps when moving to higher resolutions.

That makes no sense what so ever... the 980ti loses more fps because it has more to begin with. The % drop is the same for both cards, if the furyx was at 125fps it would also drop to about 85.

and turned off mouth smoothing

I wish there was more people using that on this forum :D

ROFL I actually thought ultra was low in that NV comparison.

Shows how it's just a biased FPS hog.

I got them the wrong way round at first, It's cause we're used to the less blurry/hazy option being the better one.

It's running perfectly for me Gsync on v-sync off, few little ini tweaks. 80 - 100 fps avg maxed 1440 :D

I haven't got Free-sync yet and I'm only on a 60hz screen but I just put another couple of hours into the game with the God rays on low and everything else as high as it goes it doesn't seem to drop from 60 fps at all and I haven't had a single issue. No ini tweaks and everythings running great. I'm very happy with it so far.

EDIT: I just noticed I'm on the 15.9 beta drivers still. Mmm, I'm a bit worried about updating them now.

The best god rays I've ever seen are in Stalker.

Careful, You'll get in trouble saying that on a gameworks thread :D

That said, we know the state of dual GPU usage nowadays, so people who expect it in every game are being unrealistic. Just because you bought some specific, minority-held PC configuration doesn't mean that everybody should suddenly accommodate you or they're trash.

That's exactly right, We all know dual card set ups are not being catered for very well and if you bought one you must be into PC gaming and therefore knew this so there's no point in moaning about something you went into with your eyes wide open. It's also why I don't think 4k is not a good idea yet.

tips for optimizing fallout 4
hi so i have a pretty decent spec pc its 4.5 clocked skylake 16ghz ram
980TI
and i have the acer predator monitor.
the game setup did auto config of settings everything went to ultra,
i did the screen resolution fix
but i find the game just doesn't seem to run very smooth at all,
i have not looked at my fps yet but i did not have g sync enabled
gta 5 runs a lot better than this game.
also i get a weird mouse lag on this game which really puts me off even playing it.
anyone else not having a great experience?
or can recommend some tweaks in the setup options please.

No. 980ti is capable of many fps in 1080p, so it should be capable of much more fps than amd cards in higher res. Your argument completely does not make any sense.
You are saying that if a card is faster it is allowed to drop more fps when resolution is increased? You can spin all you want with %s, but end result is this: 980ti is much less capable at higher resolutions.

besides, how is your argument still valid if I use Titan X and not 980ti? According to them charts Titan X lost even more fps than 980ti. It had so many fps to begin with so it was allowed to drop some and it carelessly dropped too many, and it ended slower than 980ti :(

No wonder so many countries' financial states are in ****s, since banks can spin their way out of anything with their %s.

Yea man, read through the Geforce Fallout 4 guide. Lots of useful tips to optimize performance. Slapping everything on Ultra wont get you great results.

AMD WIN running very nice in 3D on ultra min fps 45 on my setup :]

Now spin that around and ask yourself why the fury cards are good at higher resolutions yet gets left behind at 1080p, Which is probably why the demand for their top cards was so poor.

You clearly dont understand how this works. Say i have 9 apples and my friend has 6, if we both lose a third of our apples i have 6 apples and he has 4. I have lost more apples than him but thats because i had more to begin with. We have still both lost the same % of apples. If he had 9 apples also then he would also of lost 3 apples not 2.
Both cards lose the same % of framerate as the resolution increases but because the 980ti has more to begin with it loses more frames.

Not sure if posted http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/fallout-4-graphics-performance-and-tweaking-guide

It's worth a read and most settings will be useful for all camps.

It does go into good depth explaining some of the gw tech further down the page in the tweaking section. There are many gfx settings available via console that are not accessible from the standard gfx options menu. Hopefully can ease some of the silliness going on :p

Note: I understand it was pulled as the guide was not finished/some things are not yet 100% correct, so take all with a pinch. The final version will be back soon*

Bad game amazing hardware. We should just start naming it Skyrm 2.0.

I bet it looks good with the goggles though a 21:9 would be nice. When they finally come up with a no glasses option it'll be great but as it is it's flawed and I think we'll see holographic options just as soon as that (ie: I watched a vid that showed a holographic table with a load of guys sat around it watching a football match, That's perfected 3D and a vision of the future hopefully).

Been playing fo4 on mainly ultra and high settings and I thought why not see what max settings runs like, So enabled everything to ultra and draw distance maxed and it runs just as well as before locked to 60 fps at 1920x1200 on a 780.

I have not updated my drivers since 350 Something so not sure if it's really using ultra settings. Will try on latest drivers to be sure it looks and plays the same.

Probably already linked here but I'm not going to scroll through all the pages looking so if it is sorry.

http://www.techspot.com/review/1089-fallout-4-benchmarks/

Paints the story we already know. Gameworks don't work on AMD and AMD hate providing day one drivers :D

Annoyingly I've found that adding a short scope to a .38 rifle gives me driver stopped responding errors and crashes forcing reboots so I can't use scopes which is a shame, It's been running perfect up till then.
