Yes, the strip is just another area in the game, if that is what you mean. You can come and go as you please
 
Ha, it's running "questionably" enough as it is in Wine (well, quite well considering, a few hicups/crashes here and there though). Think i'll not risk any mods until i've at least finished this playthrough :p

So is the end of the main quest the end of the entire game? Like, you can't go back and do anything else?
 
Yep the game will end after the main questline finishes and you will not be able to go back and do anything else, though you do get a savegame just before the end and there is plenty of time to get everything done before you do the final mission(it is also quite obvious which the final quest is).

You are nowhere near it yet though if you haven't been to the strip yet, in fact it has hardly even begun!

Not as bad as this one guy who came up and talked to me through a gambler and a hooker on the strip, they were just stood perfectly still and all i could see was his right eye :p

Oh, and i figured out what causes the massive fps drops in Wine. Water. Any amount of water/liquid anywhere, be it a tiny puddle in a cave or the pools in the club courtyards and you can just about say goodbye to the game being any flavor of playable. Not looking forward to that Boomer quest :(
 
I reformatted my pc, but kept the documents folder in tact, yet the game won't see my save games. They are definitely in the right folder. I've tried reverting to backup saves but nothing. Any ideas?

Could try putting the saved games somewhere else, starting a new game and making a save- getting the game to recreate the save folder, then pop the older saves back in the 'new folder'. Had this work with the Witcher
 
Right I think I am going to start another playthrough of this now. I just deleted all the mods I had from my last game and it came to over 25gb! Gonna have some hard decisions to make now, as I don't think i will use both **** and Project Nevada. Definitely going to use a lot less mods this time, though that was the whole point of trying them all the last time, now I know which ones are worth it.

EDIT- wow a word has been starred out, I suppose it could be seen as a disguised sweary (initials for the Fallout Overhaul Kit)
 
I've started a new run through too, deleting my old mods and beginning again. It took me a long time to get the Underground Hideout working for some reason, but I consider it essential. What body replacement mod will you be using?
 
Breezes New Vegas males and Beware of Girl Type 3. They are the ones I have used before so I know they will be ok. Some of the options when installing them are quite disturbing tbh.

Annoying thing is that I still have all of the RAR files in a folder, but they are not organized at all, so I don't know which ones go with which mod.
 
Indeed! But personally, the more realism, the better for me. I've tried Type 3M, which is the best yet (check out the 3M clothing mod to go with it), but it has recently gone a bit wrong so I'll need to tinker with it.

I love mods, but I hate having to tinker all the time!
