Fallout: New Vegas

The video above looks very good. Mix of city and expansive countryside. Very much looking forward to this game, just hope my system can handle it.

Really looking forward to this one. Collectors edition is on preorder, as I missed out on the one for FO3. Roll on Friday :D

I see that New Vegas is going to be using steam works, will me and my girlfriend be able to play through the game with separate characters without it messing up the save games? :(

thats nice to read, if i ever get round to finishing FO3. i dont share the pc with anyone else for games so having cloud there will be quite handy :)

Quite funny, as I actually mentioned earlier in the thread I was buying the disc copy of the game to avoid steam for this very reason. Steam Cloud is a great thing if you are the only user. Pain in the bum if me and the girlfriend both want to play the same game at different times :S

Does this have GFWL achievements like Dawn of war 2 did?

that would be awesome, I would'nt have played FO3 past the end if it wasn't for achievements.

Ive still to get into FO3, ive got the goty edition but just couldnt seem to get into it. Might need to give it a bash before this gets released.

I hope we can activate this on Steam using the same trick for F1 2010 ;)

Released tomorrow in the States I think :D Can't wait!

And, to top it all, the lovely Miss Felicia Day is voicing a companion :D

What is this 'steam works?' Have I missed something

Do you have to use it in addition to steam?

Surely having different user accounts on the same PC means that save games get put into different locations even if you use the same Steam login?

I'll be surprised if they haven't provided a solution for this..

steamworks lets you attach your retail key to steam, so you can download/etc like any other game you buy on steam directly :)

its also a form of drm in a way.
Cool, okay. Will I have this with the retail version then?

Cheers,

SW.
