Fallout: New Vegas

Still buying this on PC regardless & will take my chances but some of the producers answers to this PS3 Q&A worry me a little :(

Cannot play after finishing the main quest. The game ends (guess thats a piece of DLC right there like Fallout 3 was ).
"Can we continue playing after the main quest line ends?

No. Instead, Fallout: New Vegas has a real ending, that shows the results of your actions throughout the game and how they affected the different factions, locations and people you encountered."

Here is another beauty & again we all know the real answer is you have to buy DLC to go beyond the level cap :(
What's the initial level cap.. and will DLC be exclusive to one console or another for any amount of time? (thanks @keeponrunning)

The level cap for Fallout: New Vegas is 30. As mentioned previously, we're not discussing the details of downloadable content right now. Stay tuned!

i'd doubt it, hell even 30 sounds way overpowered unless they've removed traits, spread perks out much more and greatly reduced skill points per level.

or I'm guessing Bethesda told them that forced specialisation wasn't fair and everyone has to be allowed to be a godlike jack of all trades.

The level cap on FO3 was 20, upped to 30 with Broken Steel. This time it starts at 30, so it might go upto 40 or they may have no intention of raising it. I can only hope its the latter tbh because Broken Steels extra 10 levels completely ****ed up all existing balance for the perks and gave you a ridiculous amount of skill points.

We'll see... hopefully they'll do a better job of the level up system.

I really, really hope not. What's the pojt in being able to do everything with one character? That was by biggest... one of my biggest gripes with FO3.

tbh by 20 in fo3 i was already capable of persuading everyone and killing anything that didn't speak English or was scripted to attack with any weapon that ever existed operate every computer pick every lock and was knowledgeable in every field of science and medicine.

was a joke tbh.

that's Bethesda's way don't want to upset the consoles tards/current gen of rpg idiots by telling them they may have to replay the game if they want to experience everything.

like oblivion head of the fighters guild and mages guild hero of the people but also the worlds master thief and genocidal assassin.

I personally don't have a problem with this. Especially if it helps the game sell well.

who buys strat guides with the game :/

Well tbh, this perticular guide has had even more work put into it than the previous Fallout 3 guide, which was widely recived as a great guide. It allso includes a big poster-map, aswell as some extra padges at the back that include comments from Chris Avellone about working on the game. And all that for an extra £11 tbh, seems worth it to me. :)

Wont be useing it for the first playthough (wont arive for release anyways), but will use for 2nd/3rd playthrough.

Ah yes, was always funny being a servant of Sithis, 1 of the most dangerous assassins in Cyrodil... and also being the savoir of the kingdom by vanquishing the god.

Lucien Lachance *** tbh...

Ah but by 30 you were also a master of bartering (because this stat was next to useless on vanilla unless you intended to play Big Guns) and could use every weapon flawlessly. Then there were the extra 10 perks you could get, and since most of the latter ones were useless you could get 9 of the earlier ones which you had to actually choose between before then Almost Perfect (then if you wanted go collect all the bobbleheads for perfect attributes).
