Fallout: New Vegas

Anybody ordered from Game? I ordered it back in august and it still stuck on "being processed" Since the 15th :(

As soon as i posted this it changed to "Despatched" who here works for them and despatched it? :p

I've heard this a couple of times now - what were you expecting? You knew it was built upon the FO3 engine, so effectively what else would it be apart from FO3, with a completely new story and enhancements?

People have said they've cancelled their pre-order because it got 84% in reviews ffs - were they looking for, 100%?

I can't wait, everything I've read and seen points at it being amazing.
 
When is this released on Steam? I pre-loaded this morning and thought it was out, as there are loads of people talking about it already and there is a patch out?
 
Really enjoying this at the moment, nice and relaxing, it doesnt have the same impact that Fallout 3 had when i got my first view of the wasteland after leaving the Vault. It feels like ive started the game in the middle. Lacks a lot of polish too, but hell theres nothing like blowing somebodys head off in VATS :D
 
Steam release is midnight tonight, or 00:01, not entirely sure. People (such as me) are playing it already because it's actually already out in the US, we are using a VPN to play it.

Also yeah, 250Mb update, hopefully this will fix a few annoyances.

Any one who orderd from the purple store recived theirs yet??? Mine was despatched according to them on Tuesday.

Tis rather boring sat downstairs when my main pc/consols are upstairs lol

Yep - I've read a lot about the difficulty of NV. In Hardcore mode yeah?

I found that after a certain while in FO3 i was just wondering around easily killing whatever got in my way :D

No i'm on normal mode, i've yet to venture near hardcore. You'll notice a lot of the mods to change the difficulty when you start as they're obvious but it should be better in the long run. In 3 it did get boring when nothing was a challenge to kill any more.
 
Runs horribly on my system, really poor framerate considering how appalling the gfx are! Fallout 3 ran like a dream and looked exactly the same if not better imo

Use the fix that's a few pages back, I just used it and it's made a big improvement.
