Fallout: New Vegas

My Girlfriend ordered this for me - so I'll be picking it up today and having a go tonight :D

Really looking forward to it; - I understand it's a bit buggy, but going by how much enjoyment I got from Fallout 3 and will do for a long time to come, I couldn't say no to this!
 
On a side not, This is GFWL its going through steam will i still be able to log into my live account and get the achivemeants (I like the ones for this game so extra incentive)

Tried to install it but couldnt due to not officialy out grrr =/ so tis pre-loading.
 
Got it through the post today :D

Went to install it and Steam said I couldn't until tomorrow :( SO... CLOSE :p

Okay now... how can I rectify this? :p Anyway I can install this bad boy now?
 
Just got the Collectors edition and Hardback Strat guide. Both very nice, although not as nice as Fallout 3's Bobble Head. :)

What do you mean by VPN trick btw? or is it something we're not allowed to discuss on the forum?

I assume the mods have no issue with it. After all, to use it you have to have legitimately purchased the game on Steam and you're using the files you've pre-loaded to play.

Never have in the past and there is nothing in the Steam user agreement that says you can't. Many of us have done this many times and not had any issues. just follow the instructions closely.
 
If bought retail it will say pre-load on steam still mine did anyway did install it off the disc for some odd reason would have been quicker if it did. However cant play it till midnight anyway unless you do that vpn thingy
 
Using the VPN trick and it seems to be working :D :D

It's installing now which is a good start :D

Anyone know if I will be able to download the patch through the VPN aswell?
 
Incase anyone is wondering - I've been able to download the patch through VPN absolutely fine :)

Moved my download server in Steam to US-NY and I'm getting 400 - 500KBPS :D Steam says I should be playing in about 6 minutes :D Good times :p
