Fallout: New Vegas

So did they do Hardcore mode properly? Ammo weights not almost irrelevant, stimpaks healing for less overall and food/drink items not giving health?

HC mode pretty much consists of the following:

Ammo has weight
Stimpacks heal over time, not instantly
Doctor bags or doctors are the only things that can fix crippled limbs
Hunger, dehydration and sleep must be treated appropiately
Companions can die

I thought companions could always die? And thats basically everything you got as part of FWE so its nothing new. What sort of weights did they give ammo? What sort of effectiveness do the stimpaks have? Think FWE had them healing less than half what they normally did over 5-10 seconds or somet.

I dont understand why some people are complaining tbh. Surely you would have known it was going to be a Fallout 3 clone but with a new story. That is why I am going to wait for it to be much cheaper before i buy

What was the trinkets? i thought it was just mainly poker chips

Poker chips, which seem to be of different weights for each value, with the branding of the casino on them...each one is different.

A bigger metal chip 38's branding on it (I think the casino in New Vegas)

A making of DVD.

A graphic novel which I'm most excited about. :D

It's finished off really nicely as well...the box it comes in is textured, and the inside is lined with a furry/velvety material rather than just moulded plastic.

Also on the box it says 2072/3400 UK collectors edition...I'm guessing that means there is only limited stock for the UK.

I don't usually go for collectors editions - I'll have the game at the cheapest price thankyouverymuch mentality but the extras in this, and in Fallout 3 really make the game come alive a bit more...adds to the experience for me. :)

It also helps that I've been a Fallout nut since scouring the wastes for a water chip in 150 flipping days!

I have 2 GTX260's in SLI and get huge stuttering if I turn around quite fast and the frame rate drops to 30fps from around 70fps... Is this normal? Been away from PC gaming for some time

Got my copy this morning but had to get the std 360 version as GS in there infinite wisdom only sent out the std editions for the pc and 360 which really sucks as i REALLY wanted the collectors edition i missed out with fallout 3 due to me thinking it wouldn't be my sort of game and looks like i've missed out this time round as well....... GRRR :(

so anyway had to suck it up and get the std edition for the 360 and so far it's been great, yes it feels like a skinned version of fallout 3 but i wasn't expecting much else seeing as it uses the same engine, and so far other than the odd stutter there has been no problems so thats good :D

anyway hopefully GS will call in the next few days to say they have located a collectors edition for me and the manager said i can just pay the extra £10 and give back the 360 version so fingers crossed :D
