Fallout: New Vegas

I have done all the NCR quests I can find (clocked 100 hours now). I am avoiding doing the main missions as long as possible... Fallout3 ended too soon for me.

While the do not attack me, i would prefer to go back to be iodlised... is this possible?

Are there things that can be easily done to get fame with the NCR? In fallout 3 if you needed karma then you just gave water to a hobo.

sorry for asking ,but,,,,,,,,,,,,my daughter just bought this game and for the pc,,,,,,,,,but steam wants to download it?

How do you install from disc please?

Well I finished it last night, just checked Steam and I played 90 hours. Loved the game, went for an independant Vegas in the end.

***Slight Spoiler***

After the dam when you go to Legiates' camp, did anyone fight him? I tried a few times and failed miserably! Talk about tough. As I had Speech 100 I talked my way out of it, just wondered if anyone was able to kill him.

I had another go to see what Mr House would do if I hadn't disabled him, didn't like that option as much in the end though.

Had a look on the Wiki and there is quite a bit I didn't do, companions for example, I had Lily and ED-E most of the time but played through Rex and Cass, totally forgot about Veronica, Boone and Raul. May go back to it at some stage.

He is a bit tough to kill, I gave up and hid behind the shed on the right hand side as you go in and let Lilly and ED-E do the business. You can sneak out every now and then and take a few snipes.

I seem to have lost my direction..

I thought I'd be clever and try and complete as many side quests as i could before attempting to pick a faction or end the the. I've done this by just wandering around picking up NPCs so as to spark off Quests.. As a result I've left "Ring-A-Ding-Dong" alone but I'm wondering if this is now a good idea. I did this with FO3 but I'm not sure this is going to work with NV. It appears that I'm now starting some of the game end quests and I'm now enemy with the Legion..

I have in my OS quests:

The House Always Wins.
For the Republic Part 2 - Just been told to assinate Papa Khan

Is there any point in the game I should save so i can complete the other end games later, or have i gone too far in.

Should i have completed the Ring-a-ding-dong quest?

What do you reckon.

I think I spoke to Mr House a few times before I decided to carry on with the Ring a ding thing. I can't remember if I did quests or not.

Not much help, sorry. I know I played haphazardly and never had any issues with quests.

I think there is a point when your infamy within the Legion and NCR gets too high; when you progress to far through the House Always Wins and Yes Man quests.

At this point, both Legion and NCR will fire upon you.

First time I played through Fallout New Vegas I played for 82 hours and went for the Independent New Vegas; with much hate from NCR and Legion - I went with Rex and Cass - and it took me three attempts, but I managed to keep them both alive right to the end when armed to the teeth with Anti-material rifles.

I ended up Speeching Legate to death at the end, I couldn't fight him - even with the Anti-material Rifle.

This time round, I'll probably play through the House Quests completely - because I just completed Mafia II :)

Played through it for the second time thinking that i would do things differently. however , when i got to the decisions, i probably did everything exactly the same LOL! .
Just couldn't bring myself to side with the legion, kill ncr at helios one, or take out Goodsprings.

Does anyone else do this?

Independent Vegas just seems like the most natural outcome for me.

I beat the Legate, but only because i had the unlimited companions mod, so i had everyone with me.;)
