Fantasy Football

Hargreaves is not a good buy, yes he will get you 2 points when he plays. But that's about it, he is unlikely to score goals or have many assists. His main attribute is sit in front of the defence and get the ball back and then pass it to Carrick or Scholes who does the killer pass. I've said it before, for a midfielder to get high points he needs to be an attacking one. Thus Lampard, Ronaldo, Gerrard, Arteta, Taylor, Bentley, Pedersson, Fabragas (only scored like 2 last seasons but lots of assists) are good buys.

My current side. Although it will no doubt change before the start.

Im going to keep hargreaves in, he's scored some long range effrots for bayern over the years and hes pretty decent at freekicks, he will most likely take the close range ones due to ronaldo prefering to crack them.

I'm not sure where you're hearing all this from, because Hargreaves has scored just 2 league goals and 1 assist in the last 3 seasons

I went for Ernshaw over Zamora.....He's a cheaper alternative, and we know he can score in the Premiership
do you know what the chances of him playing every game are?

who would be your pick of 2 of these players:

Teale DC 4.0 18
Johnson MI 4.0 17
Smertin FU 4.0 16
Quashie WH 4.0 12
Pattison NU 4.0 9
Kavanagh SU 4.0 2
Elrich FU 4.0 0
Pearson DC 4.0 0
Muamba BC 4.0 0

Earnshaw? Very good chance he'll play a lot for em, to be honest - they like the little/large combo and I'd guess they'd go for him and Howard up front. On that list of players, I'd definitely go for Muamba.

Tbh you'll be lucky if Hargreaves is even playing 60+ minutes in most matches.

You reckon Carrick will play more than Hargreaves? I think OH is a more suitable partner for Scholes and will give a better balance to the team.

I personally wouldn't want us to disrupt the Carrick/Scholes partnership that served us so well last season, sure Hargo will be worth his wait in gold in those tough away games but it was the Carrick/Scholes duo that was a major reason behind our great attacking play last season and we shouldn't detract from that for the majority of games
