Fantasy Football

Well I made a superb choice, of picking Martins and Van Persie up front for this week :p Did'nt realised that they were'nt playing, oh well. There will be a time when they do play twice in a gameweek.

Good result from Everton, Arteta and Howard done me proud. Good start to the gameweek.

On a side note, I never knew that we had some many people joined up in the league. Over 150 people easy.

Didn't know you guys had a league, I was upstairs in the PC forums trying to figure out how on earth to build a PC.

I should probably stick to the football, or as the Scottish bird I just met says: 'Fitba'.
 
Apparently OcUK league is Rank: 2,955 / 79,666 :). Don't know if that's average score or amount of members. I do know they don't work out the average in the usual fashion.

It is definately score ranking, no idea how it's done as a league with 19 teams in has the following scores yet an average of 67.8:

The amounts are out of sync as some have used transfers.

lol :D Sounds so wrong it's untrue.
 
Just waiting to see if Arteta gets any bonus points and then i'm off to bed. I can understand it taking a while on a Saturday night, but when there's one game and you have to input three numbers, it's a bit of a ****take :(

8 points already, that's quite good for not scoring a goal, with bonus points and captain you are looking at 20 points from 1 player.
 
Ok, just need to clear a few things here, you can only make substitutions ahead of a gameweek and that's it you can't alter the formation or change a player during that gameweek?

Secondly, now that one game has been completed so far this game week, can I say take Berbatov off and change formation to include another midfielder who plays tomorrow? Also, can I change the captain right now after this game for tomorrows matches?

Sorry so many questions. :p

All your changes for the gameweek have to be done by the deadline, after that any changes you make won't have any effect until the following game week. So basically you have to sit back and see what your team does tomorrow night now, you cant change anything that will affect it.

Tomorrow's game and today's game are the same "week". Any changes now won't take place until the weekend's game. There is a deadline to each "gameweek" on the site (right hand side). And for it (captain, subs or transfers) to be effective you have to do it before the deadline and NOT before kick off time.

Once the gameweek is closed anything you change in your team won't be counted until the next gameweek. Gameweek 2 was closed today at 19:30 so anything you have changed after this time won't apply for these set of games.
 
If changes are made before the deadline of a certain gameweek, then they will be allowed for the particular gameweek. After the deadline, the changes made will be made for the next gameweek.

Its best to keep note of the deadline for the gameweek, look at the gameweek;s fixtures and pick the best team, captain etc for that gameweek.
 
**** ****. Player values have been updated. Tevez has (predictably) gone up by 0.1m, which now means I can't afford him by just doing a straight swap with Anelka. ******* knew this would happen!

Full list of updated values:

Micah Richards and Paul McShane have gone up by 0.1m each.

Wallace and Malouda have gone up by 0.1m each.

Drogba, Tevez, Bianchi and Martins have gone up by 0.1m :(

Cheers guys. :) I'm new to this and just need to get things straightened out in my head. Let's all hope for lots of points from tomorrow's games.
