I'm 5th!!!! lucky they swapped all my injuried players and the non starters for the ones who played! I'm top of my other league at the moment, which has 24 teams - a more reasonable size and 63911 in the world...

You get one free transfer every week. Every additional transfer cost 4 points.

You also have 1 wildcard to use, which means that all your transfers in 1 week are free.
 
ok question. I put matty taylor in, but it doesn't look like he's going to play because of utaka. Can anyone suggest a decent 7m replacement midfielder? i was thinking hleb, because he will be getting more games and scoring this year hopefully.

I'm in the same situation, can't believe Pompy have dropped Taylor after how well he did for them last season :eek:

i know it's an absolute joke. My mate seems to think him and redknapp dont see eye to eye :(
 
I'm top after the first round of matches!

Still a bit gutted I transferred Martins out before the start of the season, but at least Anelka scored.

Hopefully I should have 9 or 10 players making an appearance in the midweek games with one substitution.

A word of advice though - try to leave subs until fairly close to the deadline just in case there are any last minute injuries. I won't be making any changes until Tuesday afternoon.
 
42 points so far, not great but not bad either. Planned my team around the week two fixtures so that I don't have anyone not playing so I should do alright tomorrow and wednesday, providing my boys do the business :p
 
I really want to get Malouda dammit ! It would means getting rid of either Tevez, Berbatov or Van Persie and replace with a cheaper striker.
 
I really wanted martins but opted for van persie and johnson as their more reliable to have a good game. and with 'big sam' at newcastle I was excepting them to play boring football and not score many goals....

Decide to swap Taylor for Giovanni instead.......lets hope he'll do well, or Might get Elano or Petrov............Damn you Sven lol
 
I'm toying with using my wild card already got a couple of cheap players not playing and the fact Rooney is now out as well!

I'm sure i used it early on last year as well. I feel i'm better off using it now then later on in the year by which time i'll stil be struggling :confused:
 
Noticed this season's scoring system has changed.....

Midfielders now get a point for clean sheets, and defenders lose a point for letting in goals. and 3 points for assists, more importantly, 4 points for a goal !

So last couple of season's tactics might not work as well.
 
Well Rooney is out for me :D. Thinking of getting Pizzaro as a replacement as he looks promising but unsure as to how regular he will play :(.
