They also have top 3 players per game who get extra points. Defenders and keepers need to concede 2 to get negative points though i think. Also keepers get some points per every 3 saves they make or something like that.
 
Can't believe how many people are thinking of blowing their wildcard just one gameweek in :eek:

Anyways I've made my first transfer of the season removing Van Persie (as Arsenal dont play) and replacing him with Robbie Keane. Watch Jol go and leave him on the bench tomorrow night now :mad:

Van Persie will come back for the weekend games though :p
 
Ususally you can only make 1 "free" transfer a week, make 1 more and it'll cost you 4 points per transfer.

You also have 1 Wildcard, where you can change as many players as you want and if you play that card (or click that button) you won't lose any points. There are no right time to play it, but i would either do it under 2 situations.

1 - Fixtures created a big hole and only like 2/3 players in your team are playing that week.

2 - You are doing so bad, players are suspended/injured and got low points so far and want a new team.

Need to take Rooney out and i have hardly anyone playing mid week so i'll even further behide in the league i'm in :( .

I was just toying with a complete overhall to gte points this midweek and to then have a steady team thats playing. :confused:

Its up to you, I played my wildcard last season and changed may be like 4 players, certainly not 11. I say get some solid points on the board is more important, you just have to be more careful and look ahead at the fixture list a bit more to see if you are going to have another week where only like 7 players are playing and make some transfers 2 weeks or even 3 weeks in advance..

Uhmmm yeah i made a mistake by not doing that kind of rushed into this years one without really checking due to being busy at work etc...

Other years i've been in them i check ahead. Hasn't helped that Rooney got injured either.
 
Also be sure to check ahead for the weeks where some teams are playing twice. Starting bringing in their players a couple of weeks beforehand if you can...
 
I'm not likley the transfer system on the site... they should be limited to a set number per season (say 6) and a january transfer window therefore your relying on your footie know how and not how well you know whos playing who and getting more points due to midweek games.

You can make 1 transfer per gameweek with no effect on your points tally

Every transfer after that in the same gameweek costs you 4 points per transfer

Yep and between now and then you can do the same (assuming you've made no transfer between Saturday morning and now)

Yup, make notes of team playing twice, and bring in players that you might not like the look of or from teams that might not be any good (Bottom 3). But you are after points, not most expensive team wins. So just for playing the player will bring in 2 points, 2 games = 4. Next week ship them out and bring in your regulars again. Do it right, and if you are lucky you can have half your team playing twice that week and could end up over 100 points.

Thats exactly the same as it was last season mate, defenders get 6 points for a goal, midfielders 5, and strikers 4. Nothings changed :)

Nah, the way it is at the moment is fine. One free transfer a week and anything more costs you points. If it was as you say, it'd be boring and you'd just let your team run for weeks on end without doing anything. The way it is (and how it has been for years) is fine and keeps you involved every week.

Don't remember midfielders getting points for clean sheets too or get minus 1 point for letting in a goal for defenders.

Yeh they did. Defenders get -1 for every 2 goals they concede, same as goalkeepers.
