This is madness! My 4850CF is beat by Monkey's 8800SLI! What is going on?!? My best run was about 38fps and my worse was about 31fps, and that is DX9 I mind you.

EVEN with the hotfix, this is terrible.

Could it possibly be my cheapo CPU? (lol)

using q6600@ 3.4GHz
9800GTX

this is with my graphics card overclocked more since i got my Trad2 cooler

and also with my dominator ram

cpu overclocked to 3.4GHz [3400mhz]

With the standard, newest drivers I only got 21fps in DX10 using the above settings, with the beta drivers I get 32fps with *** same settings, making it playable. So its not just SLI configs.
 
Got my 4870x2!

Took me bloody ages to install, damn drivers!

New score:

Can only seam to clock the card to 800/975, any higher and i get artifacts, how the guys reached 830/1000 is beyond me! :p

Btw im getting uber micro-stutter in all games. This happening for all 4870x2 owners?

Trying to find a solution but nada so far. Really anoying, its like its running at 40fps but feels like 15..

12,000 in 06 it isn't that much for 2 cards, my single 8800GT manages nearly that.

The thing is if I run pixel shader test in 06 with Catalyst AI disabled and enabled, i get 660fps and 1300fps which is an indication that Crossfire is in fact working properly. But when I actually run the test it only comes out with 12k score. Surfed around the net and a 4850 CF norm seems to be in the range of 19-21k so I really am upset about this. :(

Can't figure out why. Must be the CPU, but I have no way of knowing it right now.

3dmark06 is a very bad judge of modern graphics cards. I got no higher score going from a 8800GTS to a 4870 but gained 10-20fps in games.

Secondly 3dmark06 is very, very cpu dependant. Overclocking my quad did far more for my 3dmark06 score than eitherupgrading graphics cards or overclocking them.

Try vantage for a better comparison of performance plus try to compare some games you have.

Don't forget 3dmark06 is very low res for 4870x2 so you will be very cpu bottlenecked.

Just for reference my 4870 and 8800gts both scored 14000-15000 in 3dmark06 and with my cpu at 3.95Ghz my 4870 will give me more than 17000.
