off topic as it is adding a PPU will increase your 3d mark score a fair amount to. (gives a nice boost to nvidia owners pr anyone who brought a ppu when they were mostly useless (looks guilty))

Is Farcry 2 the first game to have fully working decently coded DX10? As I notice DX10 is giving 10-20fps boost on most cards! Clearly DX10.1 is useless or is it not working on the 4870 yet in the Farcry 2 benchies on here?
It's not useless, both ATI and nvidia cards are benefiting from DX10.1 support in Far Cry 2, yes the GTX series does support features in DX10.1, just not all.
Where does it say the GTX series support DX10.1? if they do they do if they don't they don't.
Also the 8800GTX does not support any DX10.1 Features and that also gains fps in DX10 compared to DX9.

This is madness! My 4850CF is beat by Monkey's 8800SLI! What is going on?!? My best run was about 38fps and my worse was about 31fps, and that is DX9 I mind you.
EVEN with the hotfix, this is terrible.
Could it possibly be my cheapo CPU? (lol)
Yea , the quad cores will rule this benchmark for sure more so than the 4870x2
I don`t agree fully. I have a cheapo 6550 and I`m in the top 10 DX10 with a single 4870. Thats under £300 for both
