Far Cry 4 due this November

Installed via the cds, updated and fatal error after trying to launch the game

Today I tried verifying the files and this time it downloaded 30mb of files saying patching and the game loading fine?!

anyways I'm not complaining just happy to finally get in the game. Only a few mins in but already I love chucking the bait, seems so natural that I can't believe this feature was not there before

Well I aint seen night-time yet and will not be for a few drivers/patches and non 16:9 support.

Tried the fix mentioned earlier using Nvidia Inspector and it made it worse for me unfortunately. Had rampant flickering throughout so reset again. Back to square one I guess.

Strange! 3 people on the Steam forum all confirmed that it worked. Sorry it didn't for you

in the video descrip but basically Navigate to Documents/My Games/Far Cry 4/ and open GamerProfile.xml. CTRL+F and search for DisableLoadingMip0="0" change this value to "1" then save,

For anyone having major stuttering when looking around i found this great fix works for me on my amd 290.

- Open My documents > Open Folder My Games
- Open Folder Far Cry 4
- Open the EditorGamerProfile.xml file with Notepad

set GPUMaxBufferedFrames="0" to GPUMaxBufferedFrames="1"

This allowed my to crank everything to max -AA and 70ish fps!

After playing 2 days ago with no issues I opened FC4 for a bit to show a friend what it was like yesterday... Stuttering issues started .

Going to try the above 2 fixes and hope they fix the stuttering.

Flew to about 6 radio towers last night unlocking the map. Fell off one and died and was sent back to before I even unlocked the first one. Does not auto save when you unlock a tower. Terrible.

Keeps saying out of bounds for some reason in certain areas, do I need to do missions? I thought it was free, free roam all the time?

Not getting far cry 4 yet, but aren't the stuttering issues and therefore tweaks and fixes the same as 2 and 3?

For far cry 2 the ONLY way I could get it smooth was to use a console command frame rate limit than can be maintained at your vsyncd framerate.

For far cry 3, the ONLY way I could get it smooth was to use a frame rate limiter program like dxtory or bandicam at a rate your system can maintain a vsyncd framerate.
Even with my Gsync rog swift monitor, I have to use a framerate limiter.

For far cry 4, given the utter dip****s ubisoft appear to be these says, I'm assuming it's exactly the same.

So, get a frame rate limiter going people.

Really bud? That is indeed depressing to hear. what prog you use for frame limiting?

Seriously, the number of Pc games released these days that have stuttering issues is getting beyond a joke.

The problem is, some people think a game is running smooth and ok, and it's really not. Many aren't sensitive to slight stutter / micro judders, or just aren't bothered. Personally it's my biggest bugbear and obsession to get games as smooth running as possible. Partly why I forked out for the Swift, but even gsync can't fix some stutters caused by poor engines (unreal 3!!!!!) and sloppy console ports, etc etc

Guys, how do you increase the amount of cash you can accumulate? Do you need to craft a bigger wallet or something? I seem to be stuck at a max of 250k worth of cash yet I've unlocked a couple of scrummy looking Signature weapons which are over 250k in price?

Yep. 1080p only, all settings nvidia then customise to turn off AA (or use SMAA) and textures to low.

Unless you've got 4GB 670s that is.

Even though theres suppposed to be a big patch coming out there is nothing about fixing the massive stutter issues
